The Manager, US AMC Spine Education is responsible for leading the development and execution of spine-focused education programs that support healthcare professionals across Academic Medical Centers (AMCs) in the United States.
This role plays a critical part in advancing clinical knowledge, improving patient outcomes, and supporting adoption of innovative spine technologies. The position offers the opportunity to shape impactful learning strategies, partner with leading clinicians, and drive excellence in professional education within a highly specialized therapeutic area.
Key Responsibilities: • Lead the design and execution of spine education programs aligned with US commercial and clinical strategies • Develop and deliver training content, including procedural education and product application for spine-focused healthcare professionals • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Medical Affairs teams to ensure alignment of education initiatives with business objectives • Identify educational gaps and implement targeted programs to address evolving clinical and product training needs • Plan and manage educational events such as workshops, cadaver labs, symposia, and training courses • Collaborate with Academic Medical Centers (AMCs) and key opinion leaders to deliver high-impact education experiences • Analyze program effectiveness using key metrics and implement continuous improvements to optimize outcomes • Ensure all education programs and materials meet regulatory and compliance requirements • Incorporate innovative learning approaches, including digital tools and simulation-based training, to enhance engagement • Manage project timelines, budgets, and cross-functional coordination for education initiatives Qualifications Education: • Bachelor’s degree required (e.g., Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business, Education, or related field) • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, MPH, or related discipline) preferred Experience and Skills: Required: • Typically requires 5–8 years of relevant experience in medical education, commercial training, or healthcare program management • Experience supporting or delivering education programs for healthcare professionals, ideally in orthopedics or spine • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage clinical audiences • Analytical mindset with experience using performance metrics to inform decisions • Working knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements Preferred: • Experience in spine or orthopedic medical device education • Familiarity with Academic Medical Centers (AMCs) and healthcare provider training environments • Experience planning and executing hands-on training events (e.g., labs, workshops) • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices • Experience with digital learning platforms and innovative education technologies • Experience working with key opinion leaders and external stakeholders • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in education programs Other: • No specific language requirements • Travel up to 25–35% (primarily domestic) • Certifications in project management, education, or related fields preferred For more information on how we support the whole health of our employees throughout their wellness, career and life journey, please visit www.careers.jnj.com .
