Position Description The Team Leader, Payroll is responsible for leading and overseeing payroll operations across Applied Medical’s entities in the MENAT region.

This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with applicable tax, social security, and labor requirements, and the proper maintenance of payroll-related financial records and controls. The Team Leader provides guidance to the payroll team, reviews payroll activities and reconciliations, supports complex payroll and tax matters, and coordinates closely with internal departments and external service providers. The role also contributes to process improvement, payroll reporting, audit readiness, system enhancements, and the consistent application of payroll procedures across the region. Roles & Responsibilities: <ul><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Lead the end-to-end payroll process for more members across the MENAT region.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Ensure salaries, allowances, commissions, bonuses, deductions, benefits, and other payroll components are processed accurately and within the required timelines.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Review payroll calculations and supporting documentation before final payment approval.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Oversee final settlements, including salary balances, unused leave, notice pay, severance, end-of-service benefits, and other applicable payments.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Ensure payroll changes are supported by approved documentation and reflected correctly in the payroll system.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Ensure compliance with applicable payroll tax, social security, labor, and statutory requirements across the supported MENAT countries.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Monitor changes in payroll legislation and assess their impact on payroll practices and employee payments.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Coordinate statutory registrations, declarations, payments, and reporting with internal stakeholders and external service providers.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Support payroll audits and respond to requests from auditors, tax advisors, governmental authorities, and other relevant parties.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation in line with company and local retention requirements.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Review payroll journal entries, reconciliations, general ledger postings, accruals, and month-end payroll reports.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Ensure payroll costs are correctly allocated to the relevant entities, departments, and cost centers.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in coordination with other departments.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Prepare periodic payroll reports, cost analysis, variance reviews, and management summaries.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Support budgeting, forecasting, and workforce cost analysis as required.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Coordinate closely with internal & global departments, external payroll providers, auditors, and consultants.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Act as a key point of contact for payroll-related questions and escalations.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Support payroll system implementation, testing, automation, and integration initiatives.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Participate in regional and global payroll projects as requested.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Coach and support to the team strengthen their technical and professional capabilities.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Provide backup support to payroll management and assist with complex payroll matter.</li></ul> Position Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and abilities: <ul><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Strong knowledge of payroll accounting, reconciliations, taxation, social security, and statutory compliance.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Experience managing payroll across multiple countries or entities is preferred.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Previous experience within an external audit, accounting, payroll, or professional services firm is considered an advantage.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Experience with SAP, payroll systems, or other HR and financial systems is preferred.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyze payroll and financial data.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Ability to manage payroll deadlines and multiple priorities.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Strong organizational and follow-up capabilities.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Ability to work under pressure and within strict payroll timelines.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Team leadership, coaching, and decision-making capabilities.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Good command of written and spoken English.</li></ul> Education: <ul><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.</li></ul> Experience:<ul><li style="margin-left: .25in;">6+ years of relevant experience in payroll.</li><li style="margin-left: .25in;">Previous experience leading or supervising a
