Position Description The Inventory Specialist at Applied Medical plays an essential role in managing and maintaining spare parts inventory to support the reliability and efficiency of our medical device manufacturing operations. This position ensures accurate inventory control, timely procurement, and effective communication with vendors and internal teams. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Adhere to all relevant regulations, safety guidelines, and company policies.</li><li>Monitor and manage spare parts inventory levels to support production needs.</li><li>Initiate orders for new parts based on inventory requirements and usage trends.</li><li>Establish and maintain communication with vendors to ensure timely delivery and accurate documentation.</li><li>Receive, organize, and catalog incoming parts in designated storage areas.</li><li>Utilize inventory control systems, including Systems Application and Products (SAP), to track and update inventory records.</li><li>Support the processing of parts orders and promptly communicate any concerns to team leaders.</li><li>Drive between Applied Medical buildings on campus to deliver and organize parts as needed.</li></ul> Success in This Role Looks Like<ul><li>Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely replenishment of spare parts.</li><li>Reduce downtime by proactively managing inventory and resolving supply issues.</li><li>Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to support smooth operations.</li><li>Contribute to a positive team environment that fosters collaboration and meets production goals.</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures in all inventory activities.</li></ul> Position Requirements This position requires the following skills and attributes:<ul><li>Hold a high school diploma, General Educational Development (GED), or have one year of experience in a comparable role.</li><li>Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset.</li><li>Exhibit excellent organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.</li><li>Maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing.</li><li>Work Sunday through Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.</li><li>Showcase self-motivation and the ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment.</li></ul> Preferred The following skills and attributes are preferred:<ul><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.</li><li>Experience working with SAP and SolidWorks for inventory and parts management.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.</li></ul> Benefits <ul><li>Competitive compensation range: $20.00 - $22.00 / hour (California).</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package.</li><li>Training and mentorship opportunities.</li><li>On-campus wellness activities.</li><li>Education reimbursement program.</li><li>401(k) program with discretionary employer match.</li><li>Generous vacation accrual and paid holiday schedule.</li></ul>Please note that the compensation range may be adjusted in the future, and bonus and incentive compensation plans may apply.
