Position Description AppliedKid’s is seeking a dedicated and creative Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for preschool-aged children while fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Key Responsibilities<ul style="margin-top: 0in;"><li>Supervise preschool children at all times while ensuring compliance with licensing, safety, and accreditation standards.</li><li>Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities that meet the needs of the whole child and reflect individual interests.</li><li>Collaborate with teaching team members to design, evaluate, and enhance classroom routines, curriculum, and learning environments in accordance with ITERS, ECERS, and QRIS guidelines. </li><li>Build strong relationships with families through regular communication, parent-teacher meetings, and developmental updates.</li><li>Maintain accurate child records, assessments, and documentation in alignment with Community Care Licensing Title 22”</li><li>Create a culturally responsive and inclusive classroom that promotes respect and celebrates diversity.</li><li>Participate in professional development, training, and staff meetings to implement early education best practices.</li></ul> Position Requirements This position requires the following skills and attributes:<ul style="margin-top: 0in;"><li>Minimum of 12 core semester units in ECE plus 3 units in Infant/Toddler studies.</li><li>Eligible for the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Child Development Program Associate Teacher Permit or higher.</li><li>Experience working with preschool children in a licensed childcare center.</li><li>Compliance with all health, background check, and immunization requirements for childcare employment.</li></ul> Preferred The following skills and attributes are preferred:<ul style="margin-top: 0in;"><li>Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or equivalent experience.</li><li>Familiar with California Infant/Toddler Preschool Foundations and California Health and Human Services' Community Care Licensing Division Title 22, Division 12.</li></ul> Benefits <ul style="margin-top: 0in;"><li style="color: #212121;">Competitive compensation range: $22- $29 / hour (California).</li><li style="color: #212121;">Comprehensive benefits package.</li><li style="color: #212121;">Training and mentorship opportunities.</li><li style="color: #212121;">On-campus wellness activities.</li><li style="color: #212121;">Education reimbursement program.</li><li style="color: #212121;">401(k) program with discretionary employer match.</li><li style="color: #212121;">Generous vacation accrual and paid holiday schedule.</li></ul>Please note that the compensation range may be adjusted in the future, and bonus and incentive compensation plans may apply.
