Position Description The Maintenance Technician I supports reliable production and equipment performance by performing preventative maintenance and basic repairs on manufacturing equipment used in medical device production at Applied Medical. This role contributes to operational efficiency, equipment uptime, and product quality by supporting scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and collaborating with maintenance and production teams. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and manufacturing machinery to maintain consistent performance and minimize downtime.</li><li>Identify and resolve equipment issues during scheduled maintenance activities to support continuous manufacturing operations.</li><li>Follow safety regulations, environmental health standards, and maintenance procedures to ensure compliant and safe production environments.</li><li>Support equipment repairs, submit parts requests, and communicate maintenance concerns to team leaders and maintenance supervisors.</li><li>Utilize hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment to complete maintenance and repair tasks on manufacturing equipment.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.</li><li>Collaborate with maintenance technicians and production teams to support production schedules and equipment reliability.</li><li>Foster a team-oriented environment that supports production efficiency, quality goals, and continuous improvement.</li></ul>Success in This Role Looks Like<ul><li>Complete preventative maintenance tasks on schedule to support high equipment uptime and production efficiency.</li><li>Identify equipment issues early and support timely resolution to minimize production disruptions.</li><li>Maintain strong adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements within a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Communicate effectively with maintenance and production teams to ensure coordinated equipment support.</li><li>Contribute to a collaborative team environment that supports production quality and operational success.</li><li>Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and continuous development of maintenance and troubleshooting skills.</li></ul> Position Requirements This position requires the following skills and attributes:<ul><li>Obtain two years of experience as a maintenance technician or obtain a degree in electronics, electrical technology, or a related technical field.</li><li>Demonstrate experience using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing, maintenance, or technical environment.</li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of equipment used in the manufacturing of components and production assemblies.</li><li>Apply mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills to support preventative maintenance and equipment repair.</li><li>Demonstrate working knowledge of preventative maintenance tasks, equipment inspections, and repair procedures.</li><li>Perform work assignments in a temperature- and humidity-controlled manufacturing environment.</li><li>Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and reliability while supporting maintenance and production teams.</li></ul> Preferred The following skills and attributes are preferred:<ul><li>Demonstrate experience supporting preventative maintenance programs in a manufacturing or production environment.</li><li>Demonstrate familiarity with basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.</li><li>Demonstrate ability to interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, and maintenance documentation.</li><li>Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning, continuous improvement, and team collaboration in a technical environment.</li></ul> Benefits <ul style="margin-top: 0in;"><li style="color: #212121;">Competitive compensation range: $21 - $28 / hour (California).</li><li style="color: #212121;">Comprehensive benefits package.</li><li style="color: #212121;">Training and mentorship opportunities.</li><li style="color: #212121;">On-campus wellness activities.</li><li style="color: #212121;">Education reimbursement program.</li><li style="color: #212121;">401(k) program with discretionary employer match.</li><li style="color: #212121;">Generous vacation accrual and paid holiday schedule.</li></ul>Please note that the compensation range may be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, experience.
