Job Summary Are you a strategic supply chain professional who enjoys balancing inventory, supplier relationships, and operational efficiency? We are seeking an Inventory & Purchasing Manager to lead inventory management and purchasing activities, ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support business operations and customer needs.
In this role, you will oversee inventory planning, supplier partnerships, purchasing processes, and team leadership while driving continuous improvement across materials management functions. What You'll Do - Maintain optimal inventory levels to support on-time delivery and meet customer requirements. - Identify and evaluate new materials, suppliers, and processes to improve quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, supply continuity, and delivery performance. - Establish inventory control procedures and oversee the annual physical inventory process. - Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate members of the inventory and purchasing team. - Partner with product line coordinators to support forecasting and planning activities that align inventory levels with customer demand and shipment schedules. - Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements. - Purchase supplies and materials in accordance with established specifications and business requirements. - Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and procedures related to all materials management and purchasing functions.
Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required Experience: 5-7 years directly related experience required; 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role preferred What You'll Bring: Experience in inventory management, purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or materials management. Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Experience negotiating with vendors and managing supplier performance.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
