Primary Function of Position

We are looking for a Marketing Automation Manager, who will be responsible to manage

and grow the capabilities and utilization of our Digital Marketing Automation platforms.

The Marketing Automation Manager (Japan) will report to Mayuri Kobayashi, Sr.

Manager Marketing Communication Japan and will own the end-to-end design, build,

QA, and optimization of scalable, compliant, multi-channel customer journeys that drive

measurable behavior change (training adoption, event participation, status progression,

and conversion). This role partners tightly with Japan Marketing, Sales, Digital/Web, and

Regional/Global Marketing Ops to deliver high-quality, localized programs leveraging

Adobe Marketo, Salesforce, and integrated event platforms (webinars/virtual events/in-

person events).

Responsibilities

Marketo Program delivery & operations (Japan-first, regionally aligned)

Own end-to-end campaign execution in Marketo (emails, landing pages, forms,

workflows, nurtures, triggers), ensuring flawless deployment and post-launch

validation.

Leverage global standard templates and QA/governance (naming, tags,

channels, tokens, UTM structure, compliance checks) to reduce rework and

increase reliability.

Manage segmentation, lead routing, and lifecycle programs aligned with Japan

go-to-market priorities (HCP, hospital, system, fellows/residents as applicable).

CRM + data integration (Marketo ↔ Salesforce)

Own and monitor Marketo–Salesforce integration health, data mapping, sync

behavior, and governance (field mapping, lead/contact updates, campaign

attribution support).

Partner with Sales Ops and Finance teams to ensure reporting-ready data flows

(clean source tracking, campaign membership integrity, accurate consent +

timestamps where relevant).

Multi-channel automation beyond email (web, events)

Partner with Web/Digital to operationalize web form + landing page experiences

that connect to Marketo/Salesforce, improving conversion and user experience.

Scale event-driven journeys leveraging event/webinar platforms such as ON24

and/or Cvent, including registration, attendance capture, follow-up, and

attribution.

Support Japan-specific channel expansion, nurture/engagement patterns (where

compliant and approved), coordinating data capture, preference management,

and measurement.

Optimization & continuous improvement

Drive experimentation and optimization (A/B tests, cadence improvements,

journey refinements, lifecycle improvements) to improve engagement and

conversion outcomes.

Identify workflow bottlenecks, propose scalable fixes, and build “self-serve”

enablement assets for marketers and agency partners.

Compliance & quality in healthcare

Ensure all data capture and outbound communications align with internal

governance and applicable privacy expectations (consent language, retention

rules, auditability, and secure handling

Qualifications

Business requirements

5+ years of hands-on marketing automation experience in Japan, ideally in

MedTech / healthcare / regulated B2B environments.

Proven ability to partner with Japan Marketing + Sales to translate business

goals into measurable lifecycle programs and outcomes.

Strong stakeholder management: comfortable advising leaders, prioritizing

tradeoffs, and driving clarity across cross-functional teams.

Japanese fluency (native level) and business English (ability to work with global

stakeholders and documentation).

Technical requirements

5+ years deep hands-on experience with Marketo (programs, smart campaigns,

tokens, forms, landing pages, scoring, lifecycle, templates, QA).

Strong experience with Salesforce CRM (lead/contact objects, campaign

membership, field mapping, attribution hygiene, data governance).

Integrating channel engagement into broader lifecycle measurement (where

applicable and compliant).

Experience integrating at least one event/webinar platform (e.g., ON24, Cvent,

Zoom webinar ecosystems), including registration/attendance data flows into

CRM/MAP.

Strong working knowledge of tracking and measurement fundamentals (UTMs,

conversion tracking, campaign taxonomy, basic funnel reporting).

Bonus: experience with workflow tools (e.g., Workfront/Jira), data tools (basic

SQL), or CDP/behavioral targeting concepts.

Strong knowledge of data standardization and normalization, database structure

and queries

Must possess a passion for learning industry-leading marketing technologies,

tactics and best practices. Proven success leading adoption of new marketing

strategies and tools globally.

Strong problem solving, business analysis and quantitative skills; extreme

attention to detail

Detail-oriented, organized, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to foster strong, professional relationships across all levels.

Experience working with Japan teams and stakeholders

Ability to travel overseas as needed.
