The Associate Director, Field Reimbursement Excellence & Flexible Support, Endocrinology plays a critical role in making that happen. This newly created, unique opportunity combines training excellence with hands-on field execution, ensuring continuity of patient access support while developing the capabilities of the Field Reimbursement Team.

This role is responsible for developing, delivering, and continuously improving training programs that enhance the effectiveness of field-based and home-office teams, and serves as the organization's subject matter expert on market access, field reimbursement activities, patient support services, hub and SP operations, and reimbursement for Korlym, Mifepristone AG, and relacorilant (pending FDA approval).

The Associate Director will design and facilitate onboarding programs, advanced learning curricula, certification programs, workshops, and field coaching initiatives focused on reimbursement, payer strategy, specialty pharmacy, patient support services, government programs, and healthcare system dynamics. This position partners closely with Market Access Leadership, Patient Services, Marketing, Compliance, Legal, Medical Affairs, Sales Training, and Commercial Operations to ensure training content remains accurate, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.

In addition to traditional training responsibilities, this role will function as a Flex/Floating Field Reimbursement Manager, providing interim territory coverage, field coaching, launch support, and direct reimbursement assistance to healthcare providers and patients when business needs require.

Responsibilities:

Training Strategy & Curriculum Development

Develop and execute comprehensive market access training strategies aligned with organizational goals

Create market access onboarding programs for FRMs, account management teams, patient advocates, and field sales representatives

Design advanced learning paths focused on:

Commercial and government reimbursement

Prior authorization processes

Appeals and denials management

Specialty pharmacy and specialty distribution models

Patient support services and HUB operations

Medicare Part D

Managed care and payer strategy

Provider office workflows

Healthcare policy and reimbursement trends

Conversion and persistency initiatives

Technology and data platforms

Establish certification programs and ongoing learning assessments

Facilitation & Delivery

Conduct live, virtual, and in-person training workshops

Facilitate new hire onboarding and national training initiatives

Lead role-play sessions, case-based learning exercises, and access simulations

Deliver advanced workshops for experienced market access professionals

Support launch readiness training for new products and indications

Content Development & Knowledge Management

Create and maintain training materials, e-learning modules, job aids, playbooks, and resource guides

Develop reimbursement and access case studies based on real-world scenarios

Maintain a centralized market access knowledge repository

Ensure all materials remain compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements

Flex / Floating Field Reimbursement Support

Assume responsibility for open territories during vacancies, leaves of absence, or periods of increased business demand

Rapidly assess territory-specific access challenges and develop action plans to maintain continuity of patient access support

Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, specialty pharmacies, HUB personnel, and field sales teams in temporary coverage areas

Support onboarding and transition activities for newly hired FRMs, including territory handoffs and best-practice sharing

Provide short-term reimbursement support for product launches and strategic initiatives requiring additional field resources

Partner with field leadership to identify territories requiring supplemental support based on patient volume, access barriers, reimbursement complexity, or organizational priorities

Deliver consistent access and reimbursement expertise while adapting quickly to differing regional payer landscapes and provider office workflows

Act as a mentor and resource for FRMs by sharing reimbursement strategies, access solutions, and field best practices across the organization

Maintain readiness to travel extensively and manage multiple territories simultaneously while ensuring high-quality customer engagement and patient support

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred

7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech market access, reimbursement, patient services, account management, or commercial training

Minimum of 3 years of training, coaching, or leadership experience

Deep understanding of:

U.S. healthcare reimbursement

Specialty pharmacy and HUB operations

Commercial and government payer environments

Benefits verification, prior authorization, and appeals processes

Patient access and affordability programs

Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly and positively

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

High degree of emotional intelligence and adaptability in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment

Proficient with MS Office, CRM platforms, and data analysis tools

Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively within assigned territory

Preferred Education and Experience:

Experience training FRMs, Market Access Managers, RAMs, NAMs, KAMs, or Patient Services teams

Experience in rare disease or endocrinology therapeutic areas

Familiarity with Korlym or relacorilant access pathways is a plus

Experience supporting product launches

Certified professional trainer, instructional designer, or adult learning certification

Experience building training programs from the ground up

The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position is $172,200 – $227,900; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
