Job Description: Job Title: Master Scheduler, Engineering Reports to: Senior Manager, Engineering Department: Engineering Hours: Full Time Location: Stevenage (fully onsite) About Autolus Autolus is a biopharmaceutical company, advancing innovative therapies at both clinical and commercial stages of development, focused on next-generation, programmed T cell therapies for the treatment of cancer. This role will ensure the efficient use of resources and adherence to project timelines, contributing to the successful delivery of engineering initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project planning within the biopharmaceutical or related industry, with strong analytical and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities: Strategically develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, overseeing resource allocation, establishing critical timelines, and defining key milestones to ensure seamless project execution.
Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality, ensuring cohesive coordination and alignment of project objectives and deliverables. Proactively monitor project progress, identifying potential risks and issues, and implementing innovative mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful outcomes.
Lead and facilitate regular project status meetings, delivering insightful updates and ensuring transparent, effective communication with all stakeholders to drive alignment and accountability. Leverage data analytics and performance metrics to continuously assess project performance, identify opportunities for optimization, and drive improvements in resource utilization and efficiency.
Prepare and deliver high-level project reports to senior management, presenting key achievements, challenges, and actionable next steps, while providing strategic insights for informed decision-making. Ensure unwavering compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies, maintaining the highest levels of integrity and quality throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Champion the development and implementation of advanced project management tools and methodologies, driving continuous improvement to enhance organizational efficiency and project delivery excellence. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, or related industry.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong understanding of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and industry regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
Working Conditions: This position may require occasional travel to other Autolus locations or partner sites. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
