IT Application Expert – SAP PM & CMX Location: Hyderabad, India Join Lonza's Global IT organization as an IT Application Expert – SAP PM & CMX , where you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing plant maintenance and calibration solutions across our global manufacturing network. What you will do Implement, configure, and support SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM) and CMX calibration solutions in alignment with Lonza standards and GMP requirements. Partner with business stakeholders, process owners, and data owners to understand maintenance and calibration requirements, develop functional concepts, and deliver appropriate IT solutions.

Configure and maintain SAP PM functionalities, including support for new plant implementations and collaboration with master data teams to ensure accurate PM master data management. Support global SAP PM and CMX upgrade projects, enhancements, and rollouts to new manufacturing sites.

Manage and support the SAP PM-CMX interface to ensure reliable and compliant integration between maintenance and calibration processes. Execute and coordinate CMX data loads, system configuration activities, and application support for complex incidents, problems, and change requests.

Collaborate with infrastructure, integration, development, validation, and authorization teams to deliver standard and custom application solutions. Prepare and maintain system documentation, including specifications, design documents, validation documentation, user guides, knowledge articles, and training materials.

Develop, review, and execute test scripts, support functional and business testing, and contribute to validation activities in regulated environments. Act as the CMX System Owner, ensuring application reliability, lifecycle management, compliance, licensing oversight, and ongoing operational support.

Provide guidance and oversight to external consultants, vendors, and service providers to ensure adherence to Lonza standards, quality expectations, and project objectives. Act as an escalation point for major incidents and service disruptions, coordinating resolution activities with internal and external support teams.

Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and continuous improvement activities to ensure application resilience and business continuity. Provide technical expertise and support during regulatory inspections, customer audits, and internal compliance reviews.

What we are looking for Proven experience supporting and configuring SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM) within manufacturing, engineering, or regulated industry environments. Experience working with calibration management solutions such as CMX or similar calibration and maintenance applications.

Solid understanding of plant maintenance, asset management, calibration processes, and associated business workflows. Knowledge of SAP PM master data structures, integration concepts, and application lifecycle management practices.

Experience gathering business requirements, creating functional specifications, supporting testing activities, and delivering application enhancements. Familiarity with GMP-regulated environments, Computer System Validation (CSV), and documentation standards within the life sciences, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing sectors.

Understanding of incident, problem, change, and release management processes within an IT service management framework. Experience working with third-party vendors, implementation partners, and global stakeholder groups.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
