Support innovation projects across the business, working closely with teams to develop and improve analytical capabilities
Balance your workload effectively, prioritising different projects and delivering high-quality outputs within agreed timelines
Produce clear scientific documentation, including technical reports, validation summaries, and project updates
Present scientific findings and project outcomes confidently to internal teams and external customers
Support customer discussions by providing scientific insight, explaining analytical approaches, and contributing to technical solutions
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping enhance laboratory processes, methods, and ways of working
Maintain accurate records and ensure all work is completed in line with ISO 17025 requirements and quality standards
A degree in Chemistry or a relevant scientific field
Experience working in a busy analytical laboratory environment, ideally within a commercial testing or contract laboratory setting
Strong practical experience with LC-MS instrumentation, including method development, optimisation, troubleshooting, and validation is crucial
Experience developing extraction methods and sample preparation workflows
Knowledge of chromatography techniques and analytical method validation principles
Able to interpret complex analytical data and communicate scientific findings clearly
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines in a busy environment
Excellent written communication skills, with experience producing technical reports and scientific documentation
Confidence presenting scientific information to a range of audiences, both internally and externally
A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team while independently managing your own workload
Knowledge of ISO 17025 accreditation standards and quality systems
Experience with GC-MS/MS, high-resolution accurate mass (HRAM) analysis, or anti-doping/supplement testing would be advantageous but is not essential.
You will be joining a specialist scientific team where your expertise will directly contribute to the development of new analytical capabilities and solutions that support our customers and the wider business.
