Overview Reporting to the Senior Director of Commercial Insights and Analytics, the Commercial Insights Analyst role is designed for an early-career professional to be an analytical partner across the division, including market research, competitive intelligence, forecasting, and data science.
Responsibilities Provide cross-functional analytical support across market research, competitive intelligence, forecasting, advanced analytics, and commercial data science as directed by the Senior Director. Synthesize insights from primary market research, secondary data, competitive intelligence, and proprietary analytics into clear, executive-ready narratives.
Build and maintain analytical assets including dashboards, tracking models, competitive landscape monitors, and ad hoc analyses that inform commercial strategy and launch planning. Partner across the I&A team on workstreams ranging from ATU tracking to demand forecasting to HCP targeting, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives with Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and New Product Planning, helping to translate insights into action.
Develop analytical skills through structured exposure to forecasting, behavioral science, claims data analytics, market research methodology, and commercial data infrastructure. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required (quantitative discipline preferred; economics, statistics, finance, life sciences, engineering, public health).
Master's degree a plus. 1–5 years of experience in commercial analytics, consulting, market research, finance, or related analytical role. Pharmaceutical or biotech experience preferred but not required.
Strong analytical foundation with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, work with imperfect data, and translate findings into clear recommendations. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
Experience with SQL, Python, R, Power BI, or Tableau is a strong plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor outputs for executive audiences.
Demonstrated curiosity, ownership mindset, and willingness to operate across multiple workstreams simultaneously. Comfort with ambiguity and a builder's mentality; this role exists at the front edge of the company's commercial buildout.
Travel required — Up to 10%. Compensation Statement The expected base salary for this position is: $66413.00 to $86250.00.
We are committed to compensating employees equitably based on several factors including experience, education, licensure/certifications, skill level, location of the position, and availability of similar talent in a competitive market. Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary bonus, long term incentive, 401(K) plan with employer contribution, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.
