About the roleIndustrial Engineers at Boston Scientific support the advancement of lean and continuous improvement by identifying and implementing innovative solutions that eliminate waste and optimize value for our customers. The department works cross-functionally across the plant to eliminate waste and improve product, material and information flow through production, new product development and business processes. Work model & sponsorship:This position follows an onsite work model and requires employees to work from our Maple Grove, Minnesota, location.

Your responsibilities will include: <ul><li style="line-height: 15pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Apply Lean tools and methodologies, including value stream mapping, line balancing, mistake-proofing, pull systems, standard work, changeover reduction, statistical analysis, line design, and strategic planning. </li><li style="line-height: 15pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Manage cross-functional projects focused on problem-solving, process improvement, and operational excellence. </li><li style="line-height: 15pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Lead Kaizen events and improvement initiatives to enhance quality, cost, delivery, and safety performance. </li><li style="line-height: 15pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Lead facility layout and workstation design projects to improve workflow, reduce labor effort, and optimize the use of space, equipment, and resources. </li><li style="line-height: 15pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Analyze products, manufacturing processes, and business operations to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities across the value stream. </li><li style="line-height: 15pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Develop and maintain labor standards to support accurate product costing and resource planning. </li><li style="line-height: 15pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Identify and implement opportunities to improve labor productivity and drive year-over-year performance gains. </li><li style="line-height: 15pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Promote and coach Lean principles, continuous improvement practices, and an Operational Excellence culture throughout the site. </li><li style="line-height: 15pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Design and deliver Lean and Continuous Improvement training to employees at all levels of the organization. </li><li style="line-height: 15pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Stay current on industry best practices through benchmarking, professional development, and ongoing learning, and apply new knowledge to improve business performance. </li><li style="line-height: 15pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Mentor team members and may supervise co-ops and interns.</li></ul> Required qualifications: <ul><li style="line-height: normal; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or engineering degree required </li><li style="line-height: normal; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Minimum of 2 years’ of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or process improvement </li><li style="line-height: normal; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Demonstrated knowledge and application of Lean Principles, Systems, and Tools </li><li style="line-height: normal; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Proficient user of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, etc.)</li><li style="line-height: normal; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience with capacity analysis, problem solving and resource optimization</li></ul> Preferred qualifications: <ul><li style="line-height: normal; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Background in medical device manufacturing or a similar field</li><li style="line-height: normal; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience with simulation software such as Arena, Simulate, or FlexSim</li><li style="line-height: normal; font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Knowledge of Power BI/Tableau for data analysis and visualization</li></ul> Requisition ID: 631877 Minimum Salary: $ 71500 Maximum Salary: $ 135800 The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see <a href="https://secure.bscbenefitsconnect.com/index.html">www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—</a>will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
