This role translates architectural designs into high-quality, performant solutions while guiding and mentoring a development team.

A key differentiator is the candidate's ability to leverage AI-powered tools and emerging AI capabilities within the SAP ecosystem to accelerate delivery and drive intelligent automation. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul style="margin-bottom: 0cm; margin-top: 0px;"><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0cm 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Hands-on technical development of SAP S/4HANA solutions using ABAP (including RAP), CDS Views, and SAP Fiori/UI5, while providing technical leadership, code reviews, and coding standards to the development team. </li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0cm 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Champion and enforce SAP's Clean Core methodology — ensuring custom developments leverage released APIs, key user extensibility, and side-by-side extensions on BTP rather than core modifications, to safeguard upgradeability and reduce technical debt. Ideally, experience with Project Kernseife is already given. </li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0cm 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Translate solution designs into detailed technical specifications, development estimates, and implementation plans in close collaboration with Solution Architects and Business Process Owners. </li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0cm 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Actively leverage AI-powered development tools (e.g., SAP Joule, GitHub Copilot, Cline) and explore SAP Business AI services to accelerate development, improve code quality, and embed intelligent scenarios into solutions. </li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0cm 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Drive modern development practices including CI/CD, test-driven development, and DevOps principles within the SAP S/4HANA context. </li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0cm 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Stay current with SAP S/4HANA innovations and AI advancements in the SAP ecosystem and upskill the team on AI-assisted development workflows. </li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Ensure solution quality through design reviews, testing, performance optimization, and provide Level 3 support for complex technical issues.</li></ul> WHO YOU ARE:<ul style="margin-bottom: 0cm; margin-top: 0px;"><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0cm 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience. </li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0cm 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">7+ years of hands-on SAP development experience with strong focus on SAP S/4HANA. </li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0cm 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Expert-level ABAP skills (ABAP OO, CDS Views, AMDP, RAP, BAdIs) and proven experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 and OData services. </li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0cm 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Strong understanding of SAP's Clean Core principles, including tier-based extensibility (on-stack vs. side-by-side), released APIs, and upgrade-safe development patterns. </li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0cm 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Experience leading development teams (3–8 developers) in agile delivery environments with a track record of high-quality, on-time delivery. </li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0cm 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Demonstrated hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and awareness of SAP Business AI offerings (SAP AI Core, Joule, embedded AI scenarios in S/4HANA). </li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0cm 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, data models, and integration patterns </li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0cm 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Familiarity with SAP BTP extension scenarios and development lifecycle tools (gCTS, ATC, abapGit, Cloud ALM). </li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0cm 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Strong problem-solving and communication skills with a growth mindset and passion for continuous learning — particularly regarding emerging AI trends and their responsible application in enterprise software. </li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0cm 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">Experience in one or more of the following domains is preferred: Finance, Supply Chain Management, Asset Management, Commercial (Order-to-Cash / Contract-to-Cash), or Analytics & Reporting. </li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt 0px; line-height: 107%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;">SAP certification in S/4HANA development is preferred. </li></ul> Ever feel burnt out by bureaucracy?
