
Snubber Tech II (Full Time) Job Locations US-AL-Huntsville ID 2026-18981 Overview Element has an opportunity for a Snubber Technician II in our Huntsville, AL lab. In this role, you will be responsible for performing tests and/or measurement tasks for the Nuclear Snubber department.
Nuclear Snubber: Testing and rebuilding of snubber devices at nuclear power plants during outages. Salary: $72,800.00 - $93,600.00/yr DOE Responsibilities • Removal and Reinstallation - Removes and reinstalls snubbers • Perform Testing - Performs qualification, acceptance testing and RND testing for nuclear customers • Maintenance - Maintains and rebuilds snubbers • Under close supervision, able to complete basic technical and mechanical procedures including basic testing and maintenance on snubbers • Some interaction with clients • Able to assist with basic troubleshooting and basic interpretation and analysis of test results • Basic knowledge of Nuclear testing principles and basic safety practices; Basic understanding in developing processes and procedures, test reports for qualification and acceptance testing.
Knowledge of Microsoft products • Basic knowledge of Nuclear testing principles and basic safety practices; Basic understanding in developing processes and procedures, test reports for qualification and acceptance testing. Knowledge of Microsoft products • Other - Perform other duties as assigned Skills / Qualifications HS Diploma or GED.
