Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician

Ensuring optimal operating results at STERIS facilities.

The successful candidate will assist with the company's facility operations.</span></p><p> </p><p><em><span style="font-size: 10pt;">This role requires onsite work 5 days/week in Chesterfield, MO. Working Hours are Monday-Friday 7am - 4pm. <em>This role is <strong>not </strong>eligible for Visa Sponsorship or H1B Transfer. </em></span></em></p></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'><b>What You'll do as a Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician</b></H2></div><div><ul><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Perform daily, weekly, and monthly facilities tasks and inspections with a high attention to detail to identify necessary repairs. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Assist in coordinating routine maintnenace and timely repairs with manager in the areas of painting, carpentry, plumbing, food and beverage equipment, furniture systems and seating all related building components. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Assist with oversite of vendor activities that include the scheduling of repair and maintenance needs as required; closely monitor progress to ensure quality of work. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Provide constant attention to all life safety issues; ensure building emergency systems are operational through in-house inspections and vendor maintenance contracts. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Assist with inspecting and providing oversite of janitorial/cleaning service, ensuring consistent maintenance and repair methods for all building components and develop routine system checks to ensure continuous monitoring of problem areas. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Report all facility issues that are not immediately repairable to manager. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Follow instructions on safe use of all chemicals/cleaning materials. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Assist with various administrative tasks for mailroom and maintenance staff including, pre-sort mail services, vendor meetings, and memos sent on behalf of the facilities and maintenance department. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Support special projects with outside vendors including kitchen staff, furniture suppliers, vending and coffee equipment, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, cleaning services, waste management, pest control, construction, outside landscaping and offsite record storage. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Increase the efficiency of the facilities staff by providing costsaving ideas, enw and innovative ways to provide more effective services to our customers. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Maintain spreadhseet of door/office keys and inventory of existing keys and distribute when necessary. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Assist in the coordination of individual and large-scale cubical moves and reconfigurations throughout the facilities. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Assist with review of vendor billing, purchase orders for processing and payment.

Work with supervisor to assist with processing payment to outside vendors and contractors. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Asisst with preparing the facilities maintenance department fiscal year expense budget. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Perform other duties as assigned. </span></li></ul></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'><b>The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed</b></H2></div><div><p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Required</strong></span></p><ul><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">High School Diploma or GED. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">5 years of experience within maintenance or facilities related position. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Knowledge of technical, building operations, basic mechanical systems and facilities management. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Knowledge of building maintenance, repair, construction, materials, and equipment. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Understanding of project costs and basic accounting principles as related to facilities. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical, mechanical, and automation systems. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Must possess a valid Driver's License to drive company vehicles. </span></li></ul><p> </p><p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Preferred</strong></span></p><ul><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">1 year of working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems. </span></li></ul><p> </p><p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Other</strong></span></p><ul><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Demonstrated leadership skills. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Impeccable verbal and written communication skills. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Excellent project management skills. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Good analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. </span></li><li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Computer proficiency in Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. </span></li></ul></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em;
