If so, then a career with STERIS Instrument Processing would be a great fit for you. </p></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'><u><b>WORKING PATTERN</b></u></H2></div><div><ul><li>12 weeks training Monday - Friday; 9am-5pm (may differ site to site please double check at interview), after this you will go on to your normal shift pattern which will be:</li><li>Monday - Friday, 6.30am - 2.30pm (1 in 4 weekends) </li></ul></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'><u><b>WHAT YOU WILL DO</b></u></H2></div><div><ul style="margin-top: 0cm; margin-bottom: 8.0pt;"><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt 0px; font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;">Following a highly regulated end to end sterilization/decontamination process on surgical instruments that have been used in operations in local NHS and private hospitals, to ensure they can be used again safely for the next patient. </li><li style="margin-right: 0cm; font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; margin-left: 0px;">Ensuring the effective preparation of sterile consumables (dressings, linen, surgical instruments, and equipment) by the process of decontamination, inspection assembly and packing within predefined quality standards.</li><li style="margin-right: 0cm; font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; margin-left: 0px;">Rigorously checking, washing, laying up and packing sets of theatre instruments to meet contract specifications within predefined quality standards. </li><li style="margin-right: 0cm; font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; margin-left: 0px;">Safely operating and monitoring machines and equipment (washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic and sterilisers) effectively.</li><li style="margin-right: 0cm; font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; margin-left: 0px;">Ensuring that repairs and missing instruments or equipment are recorded and logged on the Tracking and Traceability computer system (SynergyTrak).</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt 0px; font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;">Ensuring that repaired instruments or equipment are returned to stock or the appropriate coded sets or the Trust’s appointed person. </li></ul></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'>Required Experience</H2></div><div><ul><li>Educated to a good general standard with demonstrable verbal and numerical abilities.</li><li>Basic end user IT skills to operate track and traceability IT system.</li></ul></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'>Preferred Experience</H2></div><div><ul><li>TVQ or NVQ Level 2 in Decontamination or equivalent experience.</li><li>Previous experience in Sterile Services and/or health related products.</li></ul></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'>Skills</H2></div><div><ul><li>Flexibility</li><li>Teamwork</li><li>Integrity</li><li>Working under pressure</li><li>Accountability</li><li>Attention to detail</li></ul><p> </p><p>For more information about us, please visit our STERIS IMS website: <a href="https://www.steris-ims.co.uk/" target="_blank">https://www.steris-ims.co.uk/</a></p></div></div></div> <p> </p><p>STERIS is a leading global provider of products and services that support patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention.
