Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of mechanical equipment in support of operations and innovation projects.</p><p> </p><p>Please note that this is a<strong> </strong>full-time, permanent and hybrid position requiring on-site presence of three days per week.</p></div></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'><b>What you will do as a Mechanical Designer</b></H2></div><div><div><ul><li>Design and adapt mechanical subassemblies (CAD) for custom equipment, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability</li><li>Produce complete technical drawings (parts, assemblies, piping, pneumatic systems, manufacturing and installation drawings)</li><li>Collaborate with suppliers to select components that meet technical and quality requirements</li><li>Support production and actively contribute to the rapid resolution of technical issues</li><li>Prepare clear and structured documentation for manufacturing, assembly, and customers</li><li>Act as a lead during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT):<ul><li>Welcome clients and represent STERIS with professionalism</li><li>Execute test protocols with rigor and transparency</li><li>Ensure a high-level client experience that is proactive and solution-oriented</li></ul></li><li>Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, automation, project teams)</li><li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of design and manufacturing processes (Lean / Shingo)</li></ul></div></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'><b>The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed</b></H2></div><div><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Required</span></p><ul><li><p>College diploma (DEC) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;</p></li><li><p>At least 6 years' of experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment;</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) and 2D tools (AutoCAD);</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (welded fabrication, machining, assembly);</p></li><li><p>Practical mindset and strong problem-solving skills;</p></li><li><p>Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer service orientation;</p></li><li>Strong attention to detail, rigor, and structured work approach;</li><li><p>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment;</p></li><li><p>Advanced English (communication with international clients).</p></li></ul><p> </p><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Preferred</span></p><ul><li><p>Confidence and professionalism in client presentations or testing environments</p></li><li><p>Technical aptitude and ability to lead and manage client interactions.</p></li></ul></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'><b>What we offer</b></H2></div><div><p>At STERIS, we offer a stimulating work environment with real opportunities for advancement!
