margin: 0px'><b>What You'll do as a Senior Mechanical Engineer</b></H2></div><div><ul><li>Perform analysis and resolve issues using problem solving techniques to develop new and innovative solutions for our Customers.</li><li>May represent R&D as a Sustaining core team member.</li><li>Design, develop, document and execute mechanical and/or electromechanical solutions for components and assemblies to meet company and/or department goals.</li><li>Perform full range of engineering duties and project assignments based on general instructions and guidance from supervisor or lead engineers.</li><li>Use mechanical engineering principles of statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and hydraulics and material science to develop design solutions for medical devices.</li><li>Use 2D and 3D cad software as well as other analysis software.</li><li>Solve complex mechanical engineering problems by applying a broad knowledge of engineering or scientific principles.</li><li>Determine technical feasibility of new product concepts.</li><li>Demonstrate success in design and development necessary to commercialize complex electromechanical products as part of an engineering team.</li><li>Incorporate new technologies (state of the art)/ innovations in certain disciplines.Tier 3 OEM Customer responder.</li><li>Collaborate w/ Marketing, Q&R, Manufacturing, Service, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Vendors, Suppliers and Consultants.</li><li>Demonstrate ability to translate technical information to non-technical.</li><li>Subsystem level oversight.</li><li>Lead activities of technicians and designers in support of project assignments and goals.</li><li>Design, develop and implement activities required to support both new product development, and/or solve problems on current products, by applying skills in one or several branches of science and engineering.</li><li>Apply code/standards guidelines and requirements to product design.</li></ul></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'><b>The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed</b></H2></div><div><p><strong>Required:</strong></p><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li>Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related Engineering degree</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience</li><li>Experience with design controls (process) in a highly regulated industry</li><li>Demonstrated experience in a variety of materials, technologies and manufacturing methods, such as:<br />• Metals, plastics, rubber composites<br />• Bearings, hydraulics, seals, optics<br />• Welding, machining, forming, casting, molding</li><li>Expertise in 3D CAD Modeling (PRO/E preferred)</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li>Experience solving complex engineering problems through accurate interpretation of requirements and test results</li><li>Strong communication </li><li>Prior experience working in a team</li><li>Graduate coursework desirable</li><li>Experience with Lean Six Sigma / (DFMA) Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, Serviceability is desirable</li><li>Experience with design controls (process) in a highly regulated industry;
