Painter - Day Shift

margin: 0px'><b>What you will do as a Painter</b></H2></div><div><p>Operate Manual paint equipment and/or Automated Paint System, Record program settings in controllers, maintain records for paint inventory and daily operating parameters.</p><p>Read and interpret travellers and blueprints and other working documents.</p><p>Record activity (number of parts and elapse times) on the Shop Floor Control System.</p><p>Produce quality components that meet all finish requirements as determined by Engineering by measuring paint thickness and visually inspecting parts.</p><p>Always remain safety conscious, wearing all prescribed safety equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing job and observing all safety rules stated in the Employee Handbook.</p><p>Immediately report to your supervisor any problems, discrepancies and/or irregularities related to job assignment.</p><p>Keep paint equipment and work area clean, neat and orderly on an ongoing and daily basis using 5S standards.</p><p>Complete any and all projects, assignments and duties as directed and instructed.</p></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'><b>The Experience, Skills and Abilities</b></H2></div><div><p>Required:<br />Ability to make decisions and stay quality focused.<br />Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and members of the leadership team.<br />Assist with training other operators.<br />Ability to understand and follow work instructions, both written and oral.<br />Ability to adapt to conditions as dictated by business requirements.<br />Ability to work with others.<br />Willingness to work overtime, if required.<br />Knowledge, understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing tools, such as, 5S, Kanban Inventory, <br />Visual Management, Waste elimination, and Root Cause Problem Solving are preferred.</p><p><br />Other:</p><p>Computer Skills to include Microsoft Office, Shop Floor Control and AS400 preferred.<br />Two years prior paint experience preferred.</p></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em;
