
Material Prep & Finishing Operator - Night Shift
<div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'><b>Position Summary</b></H2></div><div><p>As a Material Prep & Finishing (MP&F) Operator - Level I you will be responsible for preparing and inspecting parts prior to and after other processes to ensure quality. This Level I role supports production by handling material preparation, cleaning, masking, measuring, cutting, grinding, sanding, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. </p><p><br />Shift: 7:00pm - 5:30am Monday-Thursday </p></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'><b>What you will do as a Material Prep & Finishing Operator</b></H2></div><div><p>Meets pulmonary standards: must pass pre-hire Pulmonary Respirator Evaluation, for mask and/or respirator, and annual testing requirements<br />Read blueprints to identify parts and required tasks.<br />Use Shop Floor Control systems (such as AS400) to determine job assignments and specifications.<br />Prepare material surfaces using grinders, sanders, and masking parts.<br />Perform masking, unmasking, cleaning, and retaping as needed for next process stage.<br />Visually inspect parts for quality prior and post work.<br />Operate saw cutting aluminum I-beams and stainless-steel rails (Paint Shop ONLY).<br />Perform and maintain production and quality standards for grinding, sanding, and deburring of metallic parts.<br />Maintain safety consciousness at all times, including proper use of required PPE such as dust masks.<br />Maintain a clean and organized work environment.<br />Ability to follow written work instructions.<br />Ability to train and cross train in multiple MP&F Operator tasks; be engaged and retain training.<br />Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.<br />Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist, and stand during entire shift<br />Ability to lift 20 pounds frequently and up to 40 lbs occasionally. <br />Ability to distinguish colors.</p></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'><b>The Experience, Skills and Abilities</b></H2></div><div><p>Required:</p><p> </p><p>High school graduate or GED required.<br />Pass Pulmonary Respirator Evaluation (Mask fit and test) prior to hire and annual testing thereafter.<br />Experience working in a production environment.<br />Basic knowledge of Shop Floor Control applications.<br />Computer Skills – Will be required to enter data at a computer terminal.<br />Mathematical Skills – Basic counting and arithmetic skills required. </p><p> </p><p><br />Other:</p><p><br />AS400 experience preferred but not required.<br />Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.<br />Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions.<br />Ability to work well with others and adapt to business requirements.<br />Willingness to work overtime when required.</p></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'><b>What STERIS Offers</b></H2></div><div><div><div><div><p>We Value our employees and are committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package that supports your heath, well-being, and financial future.</p><p>Here is just a brief overview of what we offer:</p><ul style="list-style-type: disc;" type="disc"><li>Market Competitive Pay</li><li>Extensive Paid Time Off and (9) added holidays</li><li>Long/short Term disability coverage</li><li>401(k) with company match</li><li>Maternity & Paternal Leave</li><li>Additional add-ons benefits/discounts for programs such as Pet Insurance</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement and continues educations programs</li><li>Excellent opportunities for advancement and stable long-term career</li></ul></div></div></div><div id="footerContent"><p>Pay range for this opportunity is $17.47 - $22.61.This position is eligible for bonus participation</p></div></div></div></div> <p>Pay range for this opportunity is $17.77 - $23.00.<span style="color:black"> This position is eligible for bonus participation.</span></p><p> </p><p>Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
