You will be expected to help identify opportunities to improve internal controls, process flows, communication, and effectiveness of accounting area.</p><p> </p><p>This role requires in-person or onsite work 5 days per week at our Alajeula, Costa Rica location. </p></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'><b>What You'll do as a Staff Accountant II</b></H2></div><div><ul><li>Perform accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations and daily maintenance and analysis of assigned accounts.</li><li>Conduct account analysis and review for balance sheets and profit and loss.</li><li>Participate in the monthly closing process for assigned tasks.</li><li>Monthly responsibility for assigned general accounting accounts, including analyzing activity.</li><li>Monthly responsibility for assigned intercompany subsidiaries, including analyzing and balancing intercompany activity.</li><li>Assist in the quarterly deferred revenue process.</li><li>Assist with acquisitions and mergers with financial account analysis and input entries.</li><li>Track and account for prepaid expenses and prepares and maintains amortization schedules for monthly account reconciliations.</li><li>Communicate and interact with other business departments and foreign entities to assist in the identification and implementation of accounting issues.</li><li>Special projects as required and other duties as assigned.</li><li>Research and document accounting issues.
