<div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'>Position Summary</H2></div><div><p>The Maintenance Technician is a hands-on position that provides technical expertise and performs maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on facility equipment to minimize downtime while maximizing operational efficiency in a cGMP validated environment.<br />This equipment includes machinery, buildings, computer systems, control systems, as well as safety and security systems. In addition, this role is responsible for maintaining shop tools, inventory, and ensuring the department's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is kept up to date, while adhering to Lean principles and 5S methodology.<br />This position will also support after-hours emergency response activities as needed and assist in the development and maintenance of spare parts inventory systems.

Depending on the operating modality (EO, E-Beam, or Gamma), this is a physically demanding role requiring strength and endurance.</p></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'>Duties</H2></div><div><p><strong>What You Will Do:</strong></p><ul><li>Perform technical troubleshooting across a variety of equipment, technologies, and operating modalities. Complete regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on high-volume validated processing equipment.

Review preventive maintenance tasks for effectiveness and frequency, recommending continuous improvement initiatives and Lean practices to management.</li><li>Optimize processing operations and minimize downtime by performing predictive and preventive maintenance on all facility equipment, machinery, and buildings. Assist with the installation of new equipment as needed.

Maintain electrical systems, including facility lighting, by installing and repairing wiring and fixtures, and perform general maintenance duties.</li><li>Help maintain a safe, secure, and clean workplace by conducting daily, weekly, quarterly, and semiannual safety and maintenance inspections according to established schedules and procedures. Complete all required documentation accurately and on time in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), while following all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and environmental regulations for waste handling and disposal.</li><li>Support production efficiency by completing assigned shift work in a timely manner and responding to after-hours maintenance calls through a rotating 24-hour on-call schedule, as assigned.

Maintain the spare parts program and either perform repairs or defer corrective actions to the immediate supervisor when appropriate.</li><li>Maintain building climate control systems by installing, repairing, servicing, and performing preventive maintenance on HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement by identifying new or alternative ways to improve operations, monitoring production efficiency, incorporating employee recommendations into process improvements, responding constructively to audit activities, and implementing corrective actions whenever possible.</li><li>Continuously maintain and enhance the mechanical and technical skills required for the position by attending training sessions, reviewing technical publications, participating in educational programs, training others on basic equipment repairs, and completing all required certifications and recertifications.</li><li>Contribute to a collaborative team environment by complying with all STERIS policies, GMP requirements, Lean principles, and company procedures; supporting management decisions and performing other duties as assigned.</li></ul></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'>Required Experience</H2></div><div><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma required.</li><li>Technical diploma in Maintenance, Electrical, or Electronics.</li><li>Basic to intermediate English proficiency.</li><li>Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar maintenance role (preferred).</li></ul></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'>Skills</H2></div><div><p><strong>Preferred Skills and Competencies:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.</li><li>Ability to work independently with general direction and supervision.</li><li>Experience using measurement instruments such as multimeters and oscilloscopes (highly desirable).</li><li>Availability and ability to travel to North America for training.</li><li>Computer proficiency, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and CMMS.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Organizational and analytical skills with basic to intermediate mathematical abilities.</li><li>Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and/or electrical systems.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.</li><li>Flexibility to adapt to changing responsibilities and priorities.</li><li>Adequate hearing ability to respond to alarms, bells, and warning signals.</li><li>Experience with PLCs and industrial control systems (preferred).</li></ul></div></div></div> <p> </p><p>STERIS is a leading global provider of products and services that support patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention.
