Medical Science Liaison

We are hiring a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) based in Algeria , reporting to the Medical Director - Algeria. In this role, you will represent Boehringer Ingelheim by building trusted scientific partnerships with external stakeholders in Cardio-Renal-Metabolic diseases, facilitating knowledge exchange, disease awareness, and informed patient-management decisions.

Tasks & responsibilities Build and maintain strong medical and scientific expertise in the assigned product and therapeutic area. Engage external experts through high-quality scientific exchange and peer-to-peer discussions.

Plan, execute, and monitor local medical activities in line with therapeutic-area priorities. Provide scientific updates and medical information to internal and external stakeholders.

Share external insights with cross-functional teams to inform medical, research, and commercialization strategies. Support advisory boards, medical training, and therapy-area updates for field and brand teams.

Ensure all activities comply with local laws, regulations, and pharmaceutical industry codes of conduct. Requirements Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, or Life Sciences Minimum 2 years of MSL experience in Algeria with knowledge of local healthcare systems, clinical practices, and with multi-national pharmaceutical industry experience preferred Cardio-Renal-Metabolic therapeutic-area experience is an advantage.

Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time. Comfortable working in a predominantly field-based role.

Proficiency in English and the local language. Skills and Competencies Understanding of scientific data, stakeholder networks, patient journeys, and healthcare landscapes.

Business acumen and data-driven approach to identify gaps, opportunities, and patient-focused solutions. Strong stakeholder collaboration and partnership-building skills.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and ability to learn new digital tools.

Strong time-management, prioritization, and resource-planning skills. Proactive, agile, resilient, accountable, and collaborative mindset.
