Position Summary The Bioproduction Field Application Scientist (FAS) partners with customers to provide scientific and technical expertise throughout the bioprocess workflow.
The FAS supports sales activities by demonstrating product capabilities, troubleshooting customer applications, delivering technical presentations, and helping customers achieve successful implementation of bioproduction solutions. Key Responsibilities Technical Support Provide pre- and post-sales technical support for bioproduction products.
Troubleshoot customer process and application issues. Optimize workflows for upstream and downstream bioprocessing.
Conduct product demonstrations and application training. Customer Engagement Visit customer sites to understand scientific needs.
Build strong relationships with scientists, engineers, and manufacturing teams. Deliver seminars, workshops, and technical presentations.
Assist customers with experimental design and process optimization. Sales Partnership Partner with Account Managers and Sales Representatives to identify opportunities.
Support technical evaluations and proof-of-concept studies. Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions.
Contribute to achieving regional sales objectives. Product Expertise Support products such as: Cell culture media Cell line development Single-use technologies Bioreactors Cell therapy manufacturing products Microbial fermentation Fermenters Bioprocess containers System automation Internal Collaboration Work closely with R&D, Marketing, Product Management, and Technical Support.
Provide customer feedback to influence product development. Develop application notes and technical documentation.
Training Train customers on instrument operation and workflow best practices. Educate internal sales teams on new products and applications.
Requirements Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biomedical/Chemical Engineering, or related field. Relevant experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, cell culture, bioprocess development, or GMP environments.
Strong knowledge of mammalian cell culture, CHO processes, bioreactor operations, fed-batch/perfusion culture, and bioprocess scale-up. Excellent presentation, communication, customer engagement, and project management skills.
Willing to travel up to 40–50% within Taiwan, with occasional international travel.
