Manager leads a team (or multiple teams) that execute the cell therapy anufacturing process. Team scope is organized around cell therapy manufacturing unit operations such as media, kitting, selection, activation or harvest which are executed in accordance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s) in both a clinical and commercial setting.
The Manufacturing Operations Sr. Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the manufacturing unit operation team including the people written procedures, patient and intermediate materials, equipment and environment of the production area.
Additionally, the Manufacturing Operations Sr. Manager, sponsors complex projects or systems, and helps develop future state business processes for manufacturing.
Duties/Responsibilities Establishing department goals, tracking and reporting KPIs, and driving continuous improvement efforts. Head of Emergency Response team, leading the team leads of the Emergency response teams of multiple departments (QC, W&SC, F&E, MFG and offices) during emergencies and drills.
Authorized to order the evacuation of the building and stop operations. First point of contact in case of accidents and emergencies Owner of manufacturing unit operations, including equipment ownership, data analytics, procedures, MES recipes, training content owner.
Lead resources scheduling in a matrix organization • Designing and operating manufacturing systems that are technically sound, promoting effective and efficient operations, and complying with cGMP requirements Ensuring the schedules of the people, facility, equipment, materials, and documents are established and maintained to support the capacity/throughput of the facility Identifying and mitigating risks in manufacturing operations that could negatively impact delivery of safe and effective therapies to patients. Championing inspection readiness efforts.
Establishing team policies, organizational structure, shift structure, and career ladders. Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in cGMP cell therapy manufacturing, bioprocessing manufacturing, or relevant experience.
Must have minimum of 5+ years leading a team.
