About the opportunity As an IT Asset & License Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring effective governance, optimization, and compliance of QIAGEN's IT asset and software license landscape. Working closely with IT, Procurement, Finance, Security, and external vendors, you will oversee the lifecycle of hardware and software assets, drive license compliance, support audits, and identify opportunities to maximize value from technology investments.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to operational excellence while supporting a global and evolving IT environment. Your tasks include Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
Oversee software license management processes to ensure compliance with vendor agreements and internal policies. Maintain accurate asset and license inventories across hardware, software, and cloud-based environments.
Coordinate vendor license audits and prepare required compliance documentation. Analyze software usage and licensing metrics to identify optimization and cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, IT Operations, and Security teams to support asset governance and strategic planning. Develop and continuously improve asset management processes, standards, and reporting capabilities.
Your profile Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Several years of experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), License Management, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of software licensing models from major vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Adobe, or similar providers. Experience with asset management, CMDB, ITSM, or license management tools.
Familiarity with IT governance frameworks and compliance requirements. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global environment.
