Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. Scientist II Labcorp is seeking a Scientist II to join our team in Shanghai, China.

Job Responsibilities: •Independently performs routine laboratory analyses and supports bioanalytical activities in compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements. •Focuses on reliable execution of established methods, basic troubleshooting, and consistent data quality, while continuing to develop technical expertise. •Independently performs routine sample preparation and analysis following approved methods, protocols, SOPs, and regulatory requirements. •Accurately documents experimental procedures, results, and observations in accordance with GxP documentation standards. •Performs basic QC review of data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance. •Independently operates standard laboratory equipment and performs routine setup and maintenance according to SOPs. •Identifies common technical issues (e.g., instrument variability, sample handling errors) and performs basic troubleshooting. •Escalates complex or unresolved issues to senior staff in a timely manner. •Supports method execution and participates in method optimization activities under guidance. •Interprets routine experimental data and reports findings clearly. •May assist in training or guiding less experienced staff on routine procedures. •Maintains laboratory cleanliness and ensures compliance with safety and EHS requirements. •Actively participates in process improvement initiatives within own work scope. •Collaborates effectively within the team to ensure smooth laboratory operations. •Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: •Bachelor Degree in biology, chemistry, medicine or other bioanalytical fields. •3 months or more experience using computer and office software applications (e.g.

Microsoft Word, Excel, MS-Access and Outlook). Preferred Qualifications: •2 or more years of experience in bioanalytical industry. •Familiar with the use of standard laboratory equipment (e.g., balances, pipettes, centrifuges). •Experience with analytical instrumentation. •Acts as a technical resource for the department (troubleshooting, method development, qualification, maintenance and training).

Additional Job Standards: •Evaluates data for incorporation into written reports. •Completes project assignments on time with minimal supervision. •Knowledgeable on a variety of study types, analysis procedures and methodology. •Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing. •Acts as a project leader with guidance as needed. •Able to perform complex analysis using unfamiliar or new methods. •Ability to assist in the preparation of relevant sections of final reports.
