Job Function: Supply Chain Manufacturing Job Sub Function: Manufacturing Process Improvement Job Category: People Leader All Job Posting Locations: Beerse, Antwerp, Belgium Job Description: Position Summary: The Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for working with business partners to identify improvement opportunities and assess, develop and implement improvement project plans across the site.
Also supports the deployment of the Continuous Improvement programs and ensures projects and initiatives meet customer and company requirements by providing technical and business program leadership. This role supports the Business Partners to act as a change agent in driving continued operational excellence in the organization.
The person will be responsible for the establishment and implementation of standard process to ensure performance targets are met as it relates to Continuous Improvement. The person evaluates potential business impact for improvement projects and advises on their implementation.
The Operational Excellence Manager will employ process excellence methodologies to create value to the customer and drive “Right First Time” mentality. The incumbent coaches project leads and project teams in developing program schedules and tactical implementation plans to meet overall program targets.
Tasks and Authorizations: Responsible for all OpEx business processes, lean leadership and the Culture of Excellence at the site. Responsible of site capabilities mapping, identifies gaps, and delivers reliability improvements for all strategic brands.
This person is the owner for the CIP pipelines process, yearly site CIP targets, support business planning/financial cycles, manage the site cost improvement portfolio in Planisware, and the CIP site KPI. Leads the performance management cadence, execution & prepares site performance review decks for external platform reporting.
Lead s and manage s the Performance management process through all site tiers. Executes key OPEX Strategic Initiatives and programs such as Wise Program & Competitiveness Program.
Supports Idea generation programs, Kaizen, etc. Responsible for the training and certification of YB, GB, BB at the site.
Provides coaching & mentoring to candidates for Project Management and Lean/Six Sigma certifications. Manage team resources through project planning, resource allocation and prioritization, recruitment, and budget preparation.
Change management and stakeholder management for the team. Act as change agent, support peers & management in realizing changes on site and influencing leaders without direct authority to enhance culture and mindset Connect with global OpEx organization: exchange knowledge/best practices, benchmark, identify & drive adoption of proven practices.
Knowledge: Must have the business & financial acumen to understand strategic issues impacting the company and to translate them to value creation and business cases. Certification in Lean/CI, such as Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred, Green Belt required.
Broad understanding of Lean concepts is required. Project Management Certification (FPX/PMP) preferred.
Knowledge of the E2E CAR-T supply chain/operations processes preferred. Experience of working within Technical Teams is required.
Demonstrated ability in identifying, developing and driving execution of key projects. Experience in workshop facilitation.
Ability to interact, motivate and lead individuals in a matrix environment, managing complexity, collaborating across boundaries and influencing without authority required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, concurrent priorities many need immediate resolution.
Demonstrated ability in working with internal and external organizations in leveraging and sharing best practices is required. Strong communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills, self-awareness and adaptability required.

Results oriented with strong track record of success in delivering on objectives. Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, management or related field Languages: Fluent in English (spoken as well as written) Dutch Language Preferred #LI-MV2 Required Skills: Preferred Skills: The anticipated base pay range for this position is: €79,800.00 - €137,770.00 Benefits: In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
