Role Impact This role plays a key leadership role in supporting the Contracts & Pricing Execution organization in Amgen India. Reporting to the Director, Contracts & Pricing Execution, the Senior Manager will lead operational teams responsible for executing critical U.S. commercial pricing and payment processes.
As part of the initial build-out of the Amgen India CPE capability, the Senior Manager will support the Director in establishing operational teams and delivery capabilities, including participating in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing team members. The role oversees day-to-day operational delivery across areas including Medicaid and Government Pricing processing, chargebacks, commercial rebate payments, pricing and membership processing, and channel fee payment operations.
This leader will help establish operational discipline, scalable processes, and a high-performing team culture while ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely execution within a highly controlled environment. What you will do As the Senior Manager, Contracts & Pricing Execution (CPE) – Amgen India, you will lead the day-to-day operational management of pricing and payment processes supporting U.S. commercial operations.
Reporting to the Director, Contracts & Pricing Execution (CPE) – Amgen India, this roleis responsible for managing operational teams executing key revenue management activities that support U.S. commercial pricing and payment programs. The Senior Manager will oversee daily workflows, prioritize operational activities, and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant execution across supported processes.
This role ensures operational delivery excellence, adherence to control requirements, and effective performance management of teams operating in a highly accountable, deadline-driven environment. The Senior Manager partners closely with the Director and U.S. stakeholders to ensure operational alignment, execution excellence, and continuous improvement across supported processes .
Key Responsibilities Operational Execution & Delivery Manage day-to-day operations for pricing, rebates, payment execution, and revenue management activities supporting U.S. commercial operations. Oversee operational teams responsible for activities including: Lead operational teams supporting Medicaid rebate invoice intake, validation, claims/CLD processing, dispute documentation, payment package support, reporting, reconciliations, and evidence retention.
Provide operational oversight for Government Pricing support activities, including process execution, documentation, controls support, and timely escalation of risks or data issues. Oversee Managed Care / MCO rebate operations, including utilization and claims processing, rebate calculation support, payment execution support, customer/stakeholder follow-ups, and issue resolution.
Ensure accurate, complete, and timely execution across Medicaid, Government Pricing, Managed Care, chargebacks, channel fees, pricing, membership, and commercial rebate domains. Drive workload management, prioritization, service levels, quality standards, operational KPIs, and escalation discipline across teams.
Identify risks, bottlenecks, quality gaps, and process improvement opportunities; drive sustainable corrective actions and continuous improvement. Systems, Process & Controls Management Provide operational oversight of revenue management platforms such as Model N, ensuring teams follow approved processes, system controls, data integrity standards, and SOP requirements.
Partner with Information Systems and business stakeholders on system enhancements, defect resolution, access readiness, testing, upgrades, and process improvements. Ensure consistent application of SOPs, work instructions, documentation standards, QA checkpoints, handoffs, control evidence, and governance frameworks.
Execute and support SOX-controlled processes and audit readiness requirements across pricing, rebate, payment, and revenue management operations. Controls, Compliance & Risk Execute and support SOX-controlled processes associated with pricing and payment execution.
Ensure appropriate control performance, documentation, and evidence preparation to support audit readiness. Partner with Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Corporate Audit teams to support internal and external audits.
Proactively identify operational, financial, and compliance risks and implement mitigation actions. U.S.
Stakeholder Engagement Serve as a key operational contact for U.S. stakeholders across Medicaid, Government Pricing, Managed Care / MCO rebates, chargebacks, channel fees, pricing, and membership processes. Communicate operational performance, risks, priorities, and progress clearly to leadership and cross-functional partners.
Support governance forums, operational reviews, transition readiness discussions, and issue-resolution cadences with U.S. partners. People Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and develop managers, team leads, and individual contributors responsible for pricing and payment execution.
Support recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, knowledge transfer, capability-building, and workforce planning as the AIN CPE organization scales. Create a culture of accountability, ownership, attention to detail, compliance mindset, collaboration, and continuous improvement aligned with Amgen Values.
What We Expect of You We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The ideal candidate is a strong operational leader with experience managing teams responsible for complex commercial operations in highly controlled environments.
Basic Qualifications Master’s degree and bachelor’s degree with 11–15 years of progressive experience in U.S. pharmaceutical / biotech commercial operations, pricing operations, revenue management, finance, accounting, or related operational roles. 5+ years of leadership experience, including managing operational teams, team leaders , managers, or large-scale delivery groups in a controlled environment. Demonstrated ability to lead deadline-driven operations, manage cross-functional stakeholders, and maintain strong quality and compliance discipline.
Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting U.S. pharmaceutical commercial operations in a regulated or highly controlled environment Strong experience supporting U.S. pharmaceutical pricing and payment operations, including Medicaid and Government Pricing, chargebacks, commercial rebates, and channel fee processing Experience working with revenue management systems such as Model N Working knowledge of SOX controls, internal control frameworks, and audit requirements Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Experience working with offshore or distributed teams supporting U.S. stakeholders Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement operational enhancements Experience working in U.S. pharmaceutical pricing and revenue management environments supporting functions such as Government Pricing, Medicaid rebates, commercial rebates, chargebacks, channel fees, and revenue management platforms such as Model N.
