A Day in the Life We’re looking for a facilities Manager who is passionate about creating exceptional workplaces. In this role, you’ll help shape best-in-class facilities that enable colleagues to do their best work—by keeping the environment safe, comfortable, and well-supported every day.
This is a hands-on opportunity to make a visible impact across the site, partnering with teams to continuously improve the workplace experience and how we operate. This role is based at our South Africa (Johannesburg) site but will also have responsibilities on other offices of the country and is expected to be primarily on-site, given the day-to-day, hands-on nature of facilities operations and stakeholder support.
You will report into the local/cluster Facilities leadership and partner closely with EHS, Security, Operations, and key business functions to maintain a safe, compliant, and high-performing workplace. Occasional travel may be required to support regional initiatives, vendor management, or multi-site alignment meetings, depending on business needs.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Coordinate and oversee all facility-related activities across assigned sites Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programs Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental requirements Support workplace services including security, maintenance, reception, meeting rooms, audiovisual systems, catering, and general office services Manage space utilization and workplace planning initiatives Manage service contracts and supplier performance and lead negotiations with service providers Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) Support sourcing initiatives Track facility budgets and spend Monitor operational costs and identify savings opportunities Support AOP planning and capital projects Review invoices and ensure accurate financial reporting Implement and monitor security guidelines and programs Ensure completion of required training and procedural implementation. Required Knowledge and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). 5+ years of proven experience in facilities, workplace, or property management Coordinate facility staff and third-party service teams Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement Autonomy Communication and Influence Leadership and Talent Management Experience managing vendors, contracts, and budgets Strong project management and organizational skills Knowledge of workplace safety, security, and compliance requirements Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Fluent English.
