Project Management Consultant (Contract) - Technical Operations

Description

The Project Management Consultant will provide project and program management services in support of key Technical Operations initiatives.

Oversee portfolio of global, cross-functional products and align with company strategy and long-term objectives.

Lead cross-functional alignment across manufacturing, engineering, operations, finance, and other departments.

Participate in creating project plans and schedules; develop and improve processes for tracking projects and risk mitigation.

Drives escalations to close major gaps; or balance through resource leveling or appropriate tradeoffs.

Directs cross-functional teams in context of product improvements, product launches, regulatory submission(s), and other high priority projects.

Conduct and coordinate review of technical documents, protocols and reports from product development, manufacturing, and other activities.

Prepare and deliver project status updates and reviews to internal stakeholders.

Facilitate resolution of timeline and resource discussions, balancing team capacity with program objectives and delivery expectations

Proactively manages changes in program scope, identifying impact, tradeoffs, and associated contingency plans.

Ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and key stakeholders.

Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes clearly and effectively.

· Proven ability to distill complex plans across multiple programs into an intuitive, simple and clear communication to facilitate prioritization and resourcing.

· Outstanding communicator: direct, effective, clear, concise, well organized and appropriate.

· Independently motivated, detail oriented and great problem-solving.

· Excellent organizational skills, sufficient to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

· Strong proficiency with project management practices, tools and methodology including Gantt Charts, MS Project, SmartSheet and Power Point.

· Drive team accountability for deliverables, develop and deliver team recommendations to senior management, create and meet all program milestones.

· BS or MS in Engineering/Chemistry or equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable job experience.

· 8+ years of relevant industry experience in the development and manufacturing of pharmaceutical drug product.

· Project Management Professional (PMP)/PMI certification or similar preferred.

· Previous experience with Process Scale-up/Improvement, Analytical Development, Technology/Assay Transfer, Process Validation and Manufacturing functions is preferred.

· 5+ years of Project Management at a fast-paced, innovative biotech/pharma company managing IND and NDA CMC projects.

· Experience working with and managing CMOs preferred.

Travel: 25% travel nationally and internationally.

The anticipated hourly rate range for this role is $90.00 to $140.00 per hour. Actual rates will vary based on experience, qualifications, performance, location, and other business considerations.
