Join Team Novo Nordisk and help us make what matters. The Position Lead and oversee Global Logistics & Distribution activities in the US, driving strategy execution, team development and resource management.

Accountable for end-to-end performance, governance and distribution flows, ensuring alignment with global strategy, scalability, reliability and cost efficiency. Oversee warehouse operations and outsourced partners, monitor performance, mitigate risks and drive continuous improvements.

Ensure GxP/GDP compliance, audit readiness, KPI management and strong stakeholder collaboration across sites, affiliates and 3PL/4PL partners. Relationships Reports to Director.

Essential Functions Lead, coach and develop team performance in alignment with GL&D roles, responsibilities and NN Essentials Manage daily operations, resources and prioritization in collaboration with the leadership team Drive change management, behavioural expectations and execution of HR processes in line with standards and timelines Partner with internal stakeholders and external providers (suppliers, 3PL/4PL) to ensure efficient operations, cost optimization and customer-focused delivery Oversee daily distribution operations, including order fulfilment, shipping and shipment tracking Identify and resolve delays or delivery risks, driving timely issue resolution and mitigation actions Support process optimization, cost efficiency and successful new product launches Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance coordination, streamline processes and ensure reliable, customer-focused delivery Lead US external warehouse operations (inbound/outbound), ensuring efficient and reliable execution Implement and drive global warehouse strategy, leveraging data analysis to optimize performance and outsourced operations Drive operational efficiency initiatives and continuous improvement across distribution workflows Analyse KPIs and prepare ad hoc reporting to monitor distribution performance and compliance Support supply chain optimization and cost efficiency projects, including 4PL setup and cross-SVP initiatives Lead standardization of shipping processes across Product Supply sites to enhance consistency and performance Ensure GxP compliance and audit readiness through effective documentation, SOP adherence, employee training and enforcement of departmental procedures Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties Other accountabilities, as assigned Physical Requirements Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role).

Development Of People Supervisory. Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process.

Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility. Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures and Novo Nordisk Way.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Accounting/Finance, or related field of study from an accredited university required Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Accounting/Finance or related field of study from an accredited university preferred Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in distribution, Logistics, or Supply chain management preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry required Minimum of three (3) years of direct management experience required; may consider three (3) years of team lead or project manager experience including providing daily direction to team Demonstrated leadership/management/supervisory experience (direct or indirect) preferred Proven process improvement & problem-solving skills preferred Strong LEAN & Flow skills preferred Excellent verbal & written communication skills required Knowledge of GxP & FDA regulations preferred Knowledge of Quality Control & Quality Assurance preferred Demonstrated ability to develop & manage action plans to achieve targets required We commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.
