
Technician II, Tech Services About Site Our FDA-licensed, state-of-the-art CGMP manufacturing facility for Gene Therapies is located on the Harmans/BWI campus. The campus, featuring two manufacturing facilities is located 5 miles from the Baltimore Washington International (BWI) airport and 13 miles from our Baltimore location.
The campus is close to Washington, DC’s I-270 Technology Corridor, top universities, and government agencies. The Harmans/BWI-1 EMA and FDA approved facility, at approximately 200,000 sq. ft., houses 10 CGMP manufacturing suites, fill/finish, central services, testing labs, and a warehouse.
The Harmans/BWI-2 facility, at approximately 145,000 sq. ft., is under development and will house 8 CGMP manufacturing suites and cold storage warehousing. Both facilities support Phase 3 through commercial manufacturing of advanced therapeutic products including AAV and other viral vector-based therapies and vaccines.
Position Summary We have an opportunity for a Technician II, Tech Services to join our team. In this role, you will support GMP manufacturing by maintaining gowning inventory and ensuring the sterility of equipment and environment.
You will follow all GMP standards and quality requirements, including documentation. This position reports to the Supervisor, Tech Services and plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations.
Shift: Night shift 7pm-7am on a 2-2-3 rotation Location: Harmans, MD - BWI 100% Onsite The Role Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to cGMP's and GDP's. Ensure gowning areas into and within Manufacturing areas are constantly stocked with supplies.
Day-to-day duties include but are not limited to: Equipment Wash Room / Parts Washer, Equipment & Parts Sterilization / Autoclave, WFI Port Flushing, Filter Integrity Testing, Monitor supply inventory, Room Wash Down / Turn-over. Perform cleaning procedures on processing equipment and manufacturing areas using written procedures, cleaning solutions, and materials.
Ensure all training is up to date on all cGMP manufacturing operations and documentation and adhering to safety guidelines . Perform other related duties as assigned to meet departmental and Company objectives.
Other duties as assigned. The Candidate Minimum Requirements High school diploma or General Education Diploma required. 1-2 years of experience working in a regulated environment preferred (will consider reduced experience with higher education in an applicable discipline).
Strong communication skills. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs minimum.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office. Ability to work in a lean, action-oriented organization and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Must be flexible, adaptable, self-motivated, and able to work well independently and across teams and partners. Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with primary support functions.
Perform other related duties as assigned to meet departmental and company objectives. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs minimum.
Extended amounts of time standing, bending, and walking. Pay The anticipated hourly rate for this position in MD is $24.03 – $28.84 Plus Bonus.
