We offer an opportunity for you to learn and grow while making significant contributions to the company's success.SystImmune Inc. is seeking a motivated Research Associate I/II to join the Bioassay team within the Immuno-Oncology department. This role will support the engineering of complex cell lines and the execution of cell-based immunoassays to enable the discovery and development of novel cancer therapeutics. The ideal candidate will be a strong experimentalist with direct experience in genetic modification (such as lentiviral transduction and knock-in/out) and bioassay execution who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.This is a hands-on laboratory role focused on critical materials generation, assay execution, and data analysis.
The successful candidate will maintain high-quality experimental standards while developing deep technical expertise in immuno-oncology drug development.This role is full-time onsite in Redmond, WA and will move to Bothell, WA fall 2026.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineer stable cell lines using lentiviral transduction, CRISPR knock-ins, and knock-outsAnalyze complex datasets, prepare technical reports, and present findings to internal teams.Perform rigorous batch qualification of critical reagents and cell lines to ensure assay consistency.Maintain and manipulate complex co-cultures of primary immune cells and engineered cancer cell lines.Conduct functional assays using Incucyte live-cell imaging, flow cytometry, and ELISA-based platforms.Develop, optimize, and validate cell-based and immunoassays to support drug development programs.QualificationsResearch Associate I:BS or MS in Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, or related scientific fieldMinimum 1+ year of industry laboratory experience (internships may be considered if highly relevant)Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture techniques and aseptic techniquesExperience with mammalian cell culture techniquesExposure to genetic modification workflows such as transient transfections or lentiviral transductionBasic familiarity executing immunoassays such as ELISA or flow cytometryStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work effectively in a team environmentResearch Associate II:BS or MS in a relevant scientific disciplineTypically, 2–4 years of relevant industry experienceDirect experience engineering cell lines, including executing lentiviral transductions and knock-insProven track record executing and troubleshooting cell-based assays and flow cytometry workflowsDemonstrated ability to work with moderate independencePreferred QualificationsExperience supporting oncology, immuno-oncology, immunology, or biologics drug discovery programs.Experience with single-cell cloning, CRISPR/Cas9 workflows, or stable cell line selection.Proficiency with Incucyte live-cell imaging, multi-color flow cytometry, or MSD multiplex platforms.Exposure to high-throughput research settings or regulated laboratory environments.Strong data analysis software skills (e.g., GraphPad Prism, FlowJo) and scientific communication skillsCompensation and Benefits:The expected base salary range for this position is 60,000 - 80,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s level qualifications, experience, and skills.While most offers typically fall within the low to mid-point of the range, we may extend an offer toward the higher end for exceptional candidates whose background and expertise exceeds the requirements of the role.SystImmune is a leading and well-funded biotech company with a bright future.
