Position Summary

Join a team that supports the production of life-changing cellular therapies. As a Manufacturing Support Technician, you'll play a critical role in preparing and delivering the materials and equipment needed for manufacturing operations. Working in a state-of-the-art cleanroom environment, you'll help ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and compliantly with quality standards that directly impact patients' lives.

Schedule: This position is onsite Sunday - Thursday from 8-4:30pm in our new Burlington, MA office.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sanitization, preparation, and staging of materials, components, consumables, and manufacturing equipment within an ISO Class 7 cleanroom environment in accordance with established SOPs, cGMP requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Operate sanitization equipment and execute processes to ensure materials are available and compliant for manufacturing operations.
  • Prepare, stage, label, and transfer sanitized materials into controlled manufacturing environments following approved procedures.
  • Support the development and execution of daily, weekly, and monthly sanitization scheduling.
  • Document and review sanitization and material preparation activities in logbooks, and other controlled documentation in compliance with cGMP requirements.
  • Review completed documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with cGMP and procedural requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of sanitization cycles, equipment usage, and material traceability.
  • Support inventory management and material flow activities to ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities, Materials Management, Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Validation, Process and Analytical Development, and other cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and compliant manufacturing operations.
  • Identify and escalate equipment, process, quality issues, or continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Work independently with general supervision while effectively prioritizing tasks in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-based setting.
  • Practice safe work habits and comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and training requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • GED or equivalent with 2+ years of cGMP experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Organizational and planning skills and the ability to cooperate effectively with others in a team environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an ISO 7 cleanroom environment
  • Manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, warehouse, laboratory, or regulated industry experience preferred.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand for up to stand for up to 4+ hours.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work 1 weekend day per week.
  • Rotating holiday coverage.
  • Ability to gown and gain entry to manufacturing areas

The hourly wage range Vericel reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting is $24-26 an hour.

The actual salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skills. Bonus, incentive pay, equity and benefits may be provided in addition to the base compensation listed above.
