Introduction to role As Nordic Franchise Head , Breast Cancer, you are a senior commercial leader in the Oncology Business Unit and a key member of the OBU Nordic Leadership Team. You are accountable for the Breast Cancer franchise strategy, portfolio plan and operating rhythm across the Nordics, translating customer, patient, market and healthcare-system insights into clear business priorities, differentiated value propositions and disciplined execution plans.
You will connect Nordic strategy with country-level execution, ensuring P&L discipline, effective resource allocation, forecasting accuracy and strong delivery for patients and healthcare systems. From your team’s perspective, you are a visible enterprise leader who builds and leads a high-performing Breast Cancer organization. You will coach and develop talent, strengthen succession capability, enable psychological safety and foster accountability, collaboration, innovation, compliance and the courage to prioritize.
You will work closely across Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Government Affairs, Diagnostics, Data/Evidence, iBEX , Finance, HR and external partners to deliver meaningful impact. This role has a Nordic remit and may be based in our Finland or Norway office. Accountabilities You will lead the Nordic Breast Cancer franchise strategy, portfolio plan and operating rhythm, contributing to overall Oncology delivery across the Nordics.
This includes influencing and shaping Global and European strategies according to Nordic needs , strengthening cross-functional execution and improving the competitiveness of the business unit while delivering greater value for Nordic customers , patients and stakeholders. You will also have special focus on one assigned country at above-brand level, strengthening country-level Oncology leadership, cross-portfolio prioritisation , governance and cross-TA execution. You will bring execution, policy engagement and accountability closer to the customer while preserving therapeutic expertise , scientific strength and Nordic scale.
A key part of the role is to strengthen early launch planning and execution by driving cross-functional readiness , from the earliest stages. This includes indication planning, access and policy shaping, evidence needs and stakeholder mapping, diagnostics readiness, account preparation, launch governance and delivery against agreed launch performance milestones. You will use data, performance dashboards and AI-enabled insights to support performance management and decision-making, while ensuring compliant human judgement.
You will demonstrate AstraZeneca values, ethics and compliance in all business practices, in alignment with the AZ Governance Framework, internal standards and policies, and external regulations. Essential Skills/Experience Bachelor’s degree is essential; MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field is desirable. Senior commercial leadership experience in specialty care and/ or Oncology, with accountability for delivering measurable business outcomes .
Demonstrated experience in managing and leading sizable teams in a matrix environment, with the ability to coach, develop and mobilize talent across functions and markets. Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical development, commercialization, launch readiness, market a ccess and Nordic healthcare systems. Proven ability in strategic execution, operational leadership, stakeholder engagement, forecasting, resource allocation and P&L discipline.
Experience in Oncology, specialty care, hospital business, market access and/or launch leadership is desirable. Strong ability to translate patient, customer, market and h ealthcare-system insights into differentiated strategies, value p ropositions and execution plans. Experience using data, performance dashboards and digital or AI-enabled insights to support business performance and decision-making.
Experienced with key regulations in pharmaceutical compliance and c ommercialization , with strong commitment to ethics, governance and compliant business practices. You regularly work with approved AI tools to draft, explore, analyze and improve. You apply judgment, ensure data privacy and measure impact.
