The actual location of this job is in Basel Tower, Switzerland. Flexible in other locations as well (Stein, Visp, Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, Ireland, Germany, Hungary, Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, UK, US) The PMO Strategy Process Director leads the Integrated Biologics strategic planning process, ensuring alignment between business strategy, capital allocation, portfolio priorities, and execution. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, the role drives strategic decision-making, governance, and performance management to support long-term growth and value creation.

Partner with executive leadership to shape strategic priorities, evaluate growth opportunities, and support key business decisions. Develop data-driven insights through market analysis, competitive intelligence, financial modeling, and scenario planning.
Establish and manage governance frameworks that connect strategic objectives, KPIs, and business performance. Monitor strategic progress, identify risks and opportunities, and drive corrective actions where needed. Oversee capital allocation and portfolio prioritization processes, ensuring investments align with strategic and financial objectives.
Review and challenge business cases and investment proposals to ensure robust strategic and financial rationale. Facilitate cross-functional alignment across sites, functions, and leadership teams. Lead the preparation of executive presentations, strategic roadmaps, and key planning documentation.
Drive continuous improvement, digitalization, and adoption of best practices across strategy and planning processes. What we are looking for: Master's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, Strategy, or a related field Extensive experience in strategic planning, PMO leadership, consulting, or the biopharmaceutical industry Demonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders and leading business transformation initiatives Experience in portfolio management, capital investment planning, and strategic decision-making Strong expertise in strategy development, portfolio optimization, and capital allocation, including strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Advanced analytical and financial modeling capabilities Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills, ability to influence and lead without direct authority in a complex global environment Good knowledge of written and spoken English About Lonza At Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
