Business Performance Senior Director, Corporate Affairs What you will do Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will In this crucial position, you will: Provide leadership for the Business Performance, Transformation, and Data & Analytics functions within Corporate Affairs.
Working across the Corporate Affairs Leadership Team and enterprise partners, this role drives organizational effectiveness, enables technology and workforce transformation, and delivers the insights and capabilities needed to improve business performance and support future growth. Responsibilities: Establish and oversee the Corporate Affairs Business Performance function, defining its operating model, priorities, and measures of success. Build and lead a multidisciplinary team of business performance, transformation, and data analytics professionals Manage complex, high-impact transformation initiatives across Corporate Affairs, working closely with the Corporate Affairs Leadership Team and enterprise partners, including Technology & Workforce Strategy, Finance, Global Strategic Sourcing, and HR Partner with the Strategic Planning & Operations Director to identify and implement business performance improvements that enhance execution, optimize processes, and increase organizational effectiveness.
Lead change management and organizational readiness efforts to support the successful adoption of new technologies, capabilities, processes, and operating models. Lead the Corporate Affairs Data, Insights & Analytics capability, establishing the strategy, governance, and standards for how data is collected, integrated, and leveraged across the function. Develop executive dashboards, performance reporting, and actionable insights that enable leaders to measure impact, identify trends, and make informed business decisions.
Partner with HR and Corporate Affairs leaders to build a future-ready organization by developing onboarding, learning, and capability-building programs that strengthen internal expertise, accelerate adoption of new technologies, and reduce reliance on external agencies. Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree and 5 years of experience in business performance, strategy, business operations, analytics, planning, transformation, or a related discipline OR Master’s degree and 8 years experience in business performance, strategy, business operations, analytics, planning, transformation, or a related discipline OR Bachelor’s degree and 10 years experience in business performance, strategy, business operations, analytics, planning, transformation, or a related discipline Preferred Qualifications: Significant progressive experience in business performance, transformation, operational excellence, organizational effectiveness, analytics, management consulting, or related discipline. Demonstrated success building or leading business performance and transformation capabilities within a complex, global organization. Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives from assessment and solution design through implementation and measurable value realization.
Strong understanding of data, analytics, AI-enabled capabilities, automation, and technology-enabled operating models, preferably with expertise in leading edge communications data and intelligence. Experience in biotechnology, biopharma, healthcare, or another highly regulated and science-based industry strongly preferred. Experience supporting Corporate Affairs, communications, public affairs, reputation, or another stakeholder-facing function preferred.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, navigate ambiguity, and drive accountability across a matrixed organization. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams that combine business, transformation, analytics, and technical expertise. The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
