About This Role As the Global S&OP & Long-Term Planning Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how Biogen connects commercial strategy, supply chain planning, financial priorities, and long-term business growth. As part of the Global Supply Chain Planning Operations team, you will lead the continued evolution of S&OP and Long-Term Planning, driving greater maturity toward enterprise-wide Integrated Business Planning (IBP). This is a highly visible, global leadership role where you will work closely with Business Operations, Finance, Demand Planning, Supply Chain and senior leadership to enable better decisions around capacity, investment, cost, cash, service and growth.

As the global process owner, you will have the opportunity to shape governance, influence how the organization plans, and drive meaningful transformation across regions and functions. Through standardization, simplification and data-driven decision-making, you will help build the planning capabilities needed to support Biogen’s future growth and Vision 2030. What You’ll Do Own and evolve the global S&OP governance, cadence, standards and playbook across PO&T.

Facilitate regional Executive S&OP forums in partnership with Business Operations, Finance, Demand Planning and GSC leadership. Drive consistency and transparency in KPIs, assumptions and decision-making across regional S&OP forums. Lead the annual Long-Term Planning (LTFP) cycle, translating business strategy into long-term supply and capacity requirements.

Partner with senior stakeholders to define critical assumptions, scenarios and strategic capacity requirements. Drive integration of S&OP and Long-Term Planning outputs into financial, operational, supply and capacity planning. Lead the evolution toward enterprise-wide IBP, influencing ways of working, behaviors and organizational adoption.

Lead change and transformation initiatives aligned with Biogen’s Vision 2030. Mentor and coach S&OP leaders, building capability and strengthening the global planning community. Partner with IT and business stakeholders to ensure planning technology and digital roadmaps enable future-state capabilities.

Leverage data, analytics and emerging technologies to improve planning quality and decision-making. You bring strong business and financial acumen, a global mindset and a genuine passion for building better ways of working. Required Skills Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline, with a minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in Global Forecasting, Demand Planning, Supply Chain or Manufacturing within Pharma or FMCG.

Proven experience designing, implementing or significantly transforming an IBP or S&OP process within a large global organization. Demonstrated transformational leadership and change management experience, including mentoring and influencing cross-functional teams. Strong understanding of lifecycle management and the ability to translate market and business dynamics into supply chain strategies within the Pharma industry.

Experience with scenario planning, capacity planning and cross-functional portfolio trade-offs. Strong business acumen and understanding of financial drivers and their connection to supply chain decisions. Familiarity with emerging technologies including AI/ML, digital twins and advanced analytics.

Strong understanding of ERP and planning systems; APICS certification is preferred. Experience working globally across cultures, functions and time zones in a complex and rapidly changing environment. Preferred Skills Advanced degree such as MBA, Master’s in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.

Experience leading enterprise-wide IBP transformation. Experience leveraging digital and advanced analytics capabilities to improve planning and decision-making. Job Level: Management Why Biogen?
