Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. Sample Handling Associate I Labcorp is seeking a Sample Handling Associate I to join our team in Singapore.
Job Responsibilities: Management of human biological and radioligand specimens. Ensure that specimens are picked up from the appropriate department and registered into the appropriate temperature-controlled drawers in a timely manner. Accurately and efficiently pre-scan, register, process, pull, and pack specimens using our in-house system.
Identify and route problem specimens. Accurately identify specimens for disposal and complete the discard process. Create new storage drawers for the registration process.
Consolidate and move drawers as specified to effectively utilize freezer space. Perform basic freezer maintenance, temperature monitoring, and associated documentation. Retrieve specimens from storage units according to specimen pull lists.
Pack specimen according to shipping instructions and requirements. Generate and apply labels to the specimens if required. Prepare specimen shipments using our in-house system.
Perform final quality checks before shipment release. Stock supplies from the warehouse. Complete mid-day and end-of-day checks as assigned.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and departmental SOPs. Follow all biological and radiation safety procedures and contamination control requirements when handling biological and radioligand specimens. Maintain accurate audit trails, training records, and required documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Pharmaceutical Science or Applied Science or Biotechnology or Radiological Science Preferred Qualifications: 3 months or more of experience in a laboratory setting. Knowledge and experience in handling radioligand specimens or radioactive materials is an advantage.
Additional Job Standards: Able to work independently and as part of a team. Dynamic attitude and ability to work under pressure. Willingness to take on challenges.
Able to perform repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication and organizational skills. Comfortable with Tues-Sat shift arrangement (1-2 Sunday shift commitment is mandatory).
Comfortable with manual/physical job scope like lifting of 10kg boxes.
