This role is accountable for leading US HEOR strategy and execution for the neurology pipeline — serving as the primary US HEVA point of contact for the portfolio and partnering cross-functionally to drive the generation, translation, and dissemination of high-quality, decision-relevant evidence to support access in the United States. The role sits at the heart of one of Sanofi's most strategically significant and rapidly evolving portfolios, requiring a combination of deep scientific expertise, strategic thinking, and a sophisticated understanding of the US payer and market access landscape.
You will work in the Neurology team of the Health Economics and Value Assessment (HEVA) department. The HEVA department gathers a wealth of expertise including experts in Health Economic and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Indirect Treatment Comparison & Network Meta-Analysis (ITC/NMA), Modelling, Health Technology Assessment (HTA), Evidence Synthesis, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and generation of Real World Evidence (RWE). Within HEVA Neurology, you will join a team responsible for HEVA projects across various molecules and indications.

The incumbent mentors junior team members on a case-by-case basis and is expected to develop and maintain peer relationships to establish HEVA as a recognized expert in HEOR. Strategic Business Impact Develop and implement US payer-specific HEVA strategy in close collaboration with cross-functional team members to support the launch and lifecycle management of the neurology pipeline Drive measurable business impact through execution of HEVA tactics that directly support commercial objectives and market access goals compliantly and efficiently Execute comprehensive US HEVA tactics for the neurology portfolio, contributing to strategic planning and ensuring alignment with broader portfolio objectives Partner with commercial teams to translate HEVA insights into actionable business strategies that effectively position the neurology portfolio within the competitive US neurology market Partner with access and medical team members to generate and disseminate actionable, high-impact evidence that addresses US payer evidence requirements and value demonstration in a competitive market Develop business-relevant US research agendas through cross-functional input and alignment, ensuring evidence priorities are reflected in broader Sanofi planning documents, including the Integrated Evidence Generation Plan (IEGP) Set HEOR evidence generation priorities independently for assigned neurology indications and translate Target Value Propositions and US market access strategies into evidence hypotheses, requirements, and generation plans that address the unmet needs of payers, providers, and health systems Internal Partnerships and Senior Management Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams — including commercial, medical affairs, clinical development, and market access — to ensure pricing and access decisions are aligned with the demonstrable value of the neurology pipeline Align closely with the Global HEVA team to ensure US insights inform global strategies and coordinate evidence generation, modeling, and evidence synthesis activities Communicate complex health economics concepts and strategic recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders with clarity and impact, including presentations to senior leadership Influence key business decisions through data-driven insights and strategic HEVA recommendations Ensure clinical development plans for neurology indications are designed to deliver true differentiation aligned to Sanofi's best-in-class or first-in-class ambition, with particular attention to US payer value demonstration Contribute to US launch readiness planning for the neurology portfolio, serving as the HEVA subject matter expert across internal governance forums and brand team meetings Health Economics Research and Evidence Generation Lead the design and execution of Health Economic and Outcomes Research (HEOR) activities for the neurology pipeline, spanning multiple indications at various stages of development Oversee the design, execution, and publication of high-quality HEOR studies — including economic modeling, database analysis, observational research, Clinical Outcomes Assessment (COA) development and validation, systematic literature reviews, evidence synthesis, and AMCP dossier development Apply proficiency in economic modeling and COAs to generate evidence that is compelling to US payers, HTA bodies, and other decision-makers Understand, create, and apply relevant HEOR methods — including observational data analysis, post hoc analysis of clinical trials, meta-analysis, and indirect treatment comparisons — to demonstrate the value potential of pipeline assets Execute all HEVA tactics at the highest level of quality to compliantly further HEOR evidence dissemination, application, and proactive and/or promotional use with US stakeholders (HCEI, PIE) Apply data-driven decision-making frameworks to prioritize evidence gaps and guide research investment decisions for the neurology portfolio, ensuring alignment between identified data gaps and strategic evidence generation priorities Contribute to the development of comprehensive real-world evidence strategies that support product lifecycle management across the neurology portfolio Stakeholder Engagement and External Partnerships Represent Sanofi at major scientific conferences and industry forums, leading abstract development and presentation delivery for the neurology portfolio Develop collaborative research relationships with US payers and other key decision-makers to identify strategies that improve the impact of HEOR and build advocates for Sanofi's data Collaborate with external research partners and key opinion leaders to advance HEVA strategy and tactical plans in neurology Work with the team lead to engage with external evidence bodies (ICER, PDAB, IRA) and apply knowledge of their requirements to shape evidence generation and value demonstration strategies for the neurology portfolio Build and sustain productive working relationships with patient advocacy organizations in the neurology space Manage HEVA research investments and vendor relationships for assigned neurology indications, ensuring delivery of evidence generation priorities within budget constraints Leadership & Team Contribution Operate Stay current with emerging digital methodologies relevant to HEOR and champion their adoption within the neurology HEVA team About You Advanced degree (PhD, MD, MS, MPH, or PharmD) in a scientific discipline required 5+ years of experience in health economics, outcomes research, or a related field US product launch experience with a strong understanding of US payer evidence requirements and value demonstration in a competitive market Understanding of US healthcare system and payer dynamics, with ability to translate evidence into strategic insights Demonstrated experience applying a broad range of HEOR methods to specific research projects, including economic modeling, observational research, evidence synthesis, and COA development Proficiency in the principles of evidence-based medicine, clinical research methodology, health economic modeling, and patient-reported outcomes Experience translating Target Value Propositions and market access strategies into evidence hypotheses, requirements, and generation plans that address payer, provider, and health system unmet needs Experience supporting market access and reimbursement through HEVA evidence (e.g., value tools, evidence summaries, AMCP dossier contributions) Working knowledge of US evidence dissemination (HCEI/PIE, reactive/proactive, CFL) Established track record of scientific and/or methods publications in peer-reviewed journals Knowledge of global HTA processes and guidelines; experience with HTA submissions preferred Strong ability to partner effectively with colleagues from non-HEOR functional areas, including commercial, medical affairs, clinical development, and market access Compliance with all relevant internal SOPs and external laws and regulations Skills Demonstrated understanding of neurology disease physiopathology, drug mechanisms of action (including biologics and targeted therapies), health economic modeling, clinical development principles, epidemiology, biostatistics, COA development, systematic literature reviews, and network meta-analyses Working proficiency with HEOR-relevant digital tools and data platforms; ability to apply digital solutions to enhance research efficiency and evidence quality Familiarity with US real-world data sources (e.g., claims databases, electronic health records) and their application to neurology outcomes research Experienced in statistical analysis methods relevant to HEOR, including ability to critically evaluate and apply quantitative evidence to support value demonstration and payer engagement Foundational knowledge of AI and digital tools relevant to health economics, including familiarity with data analytics platforms and digital research tools Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to present complex scientific and strategic content to senior management and cross-functional audiences Entrepreneurial spirit, team orientation, and the ability to develop creative solutions to complex scientific and business problems Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment Understanding of the legal and regulatory with the competitive landscape in neurological diseases Expertise or prior launch or peri-launch experience in neurodegenerative diseases, movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases is preferred
