Join Purification Research in Måløv and support early-stage research by delivering quality proteins and peptides. Your new role As a Laboratory Technician (1-year temporary position) in Purification Research, you will contribute to the delivery of purified recombinant proteins and peptides for research projects.
In this role, you will be assigned to a team that focuses on delivering purified protein and peptide-based drug candidates, purification process development and multi-gram protein productions. Your responsibilities will include: Executing protein purification activities from lab-scale to multigram scale Performing analytical experiments and contributing to data interpretation Documenting experimental work accurately in electronic laboratory notebooks Maintain purification and analysis equipment Collaborating closely with scientists and colleagues to support protein deliveries You will work hands-on in the laboratory while continuously building your expertise and contributing to team deliverables. Qualifications You have an education as Laboratory Technician with experience from working with protein and peptide purification.
To succeed in this position, you have: Experience with preparative column chromatography. Hands on experience with ÄKTA purification systems and Unicorn control software. Experience with basic analytical methods including SE-UPLC/RP-UPLC/LC-MS and data analysis.
Hands-on experience with Äkta Pilot equipment is considered an advantage. Prior experience with multiple different types of proteins or peptides is considered an advantage. Ability to take on digital challenges, systems, software and use of AI is an advantage.

About the department The Purification Research counts about 24 highly engaged scientists and laboratory technicians split into two departments that operate as one. The departments belong to the Peptide & Protein Research VP area in Therapeutics Discovery (TD) and are situated outside Copenhagen in Måløv, Denmark.
We are engaged in early research projects using state-of-the-art technology to deliver purified proteins and peptides from recombinant expressions carried out in sister departments for the development of lead molecules and selection for clinical development. In this context, the department is responsible for the purification of challenging tool proteins, platform-based automated purifications as well as highly customized purification of engineered variant molecules in milligram to gram scale quantities. In addition, the department also supports cell line development and is responsible for developing the initial purification process suited for transfer to our CMC colleagues.

Salary and Benefits: The Annual Base Salary ranges from 437,600 to 643,200 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate's skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
A competitive benefits package is offered, including a pension scheme (currently 13% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution) in accordance with the applicable Collective Agreement for Salaried Employees (Industriens Funktionæroverenskomst or "IFO").
