The Power Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is a pivotal role within the ProPharma organization that leverages extensive experience and expertise to lead the end-to-end implementation of our corporate Power BI reporting ecosystem. This role will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable, secure, and insightful reporting solutions from the ground up, transforming raw data into actionable business intelligence that drives strategic decisions across the organization. Essential Functions: Lead the design, development, and deployment of the organization's Microsoft Power BI reporting and analytics platform.

Leverage the enterprise data platform and centralized data mart to create scalable, efficient semantic models and high-impact dashboards and reports. Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into intuitive, actionable data visualizations and reporting solutions. Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and application teams to design and deliver enterprise BI solutions.

Design, develop, and maintain reusable semantic models, shared datasets, and certified data assets to promote consistency and self-service analytics. Establish and maintain Power BI governance standards, including workspace management, security roles, row-level security (RLS), object-level security (OLS), data lineage, and compliance with corporate data governance policies. Optimize Power BI reports, semantic models, and DAX calculations to maximize performance, scalability, and user experience.

Develop and maintain Power BI development standards, templates, naming conventions, documentation, and deployment processes. Implement automated deployment and version control practices where appropriate to support a modern BI development lifecycle. Monitor report usage, adoption, and performance metrics to continuously improve reporting solutions.

Partner with data engineering teams to improve data quality, metadata, and source system integration. Provide training, support, and best practices to business users to expand self-service analytics capabilities. Mentor and coach junior BI developers and analysts.

Stay current with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and modern analytics best practices and evaluate new capabilities for organizational adoption. Necessary Skills and Abilities: 5+ years of experience in Power BI development with a proven track record of leading BI initiatives. Strong understanding of Power BI architecture, including Power BI Service, Gateway, Power BI Desktop, and Report Server.

Experience with SQL, data warehouses, and ETL processes. Solid understanding of data governance, access control, and row-level security within Power BI. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Experience implementing reporting environments from scratch is essential. Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Ability to manage complex projects and deliver results.

Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, or relevant fields. Power BI certifications are a plus. 3 to 5+ years of experience as a Power BI developer with excellent track record We celebrate our differences and strive to create a workplace where each person can be their authentic self.
