Job Description About the role: The Financial Planning & Analysis, Senior Manager plays a pivotal role across the finance function, taking ownership of work spanning financial planning & analysis, financial control, accounting, tax, treasury, accounts payable/receivable, and credit & collections.

Given this breadth, the role calls for a highly flexible mindset and a genuine willingness to embrace new ways of working as the business and finance environment continue to evolve. It also requires someone who is highly self-motivated, able to persist through highly complex challenges independently while guiding others on staying motivated. Operates with considerable autonomy, serving as a finance consultant to management and an external spokesperson on major matters, often working independently and leading function teams or projects.

Owns the country P&L narrative, drives financial performance through robust variance analysis, early-warning KPI monitoring, and actionable insights enabling the Country Head to make informed decisions while serving as a key sounding board and strategic partner to the Oceania Cluster Head of Finance Leads the annual budgeting and strategic planning cycle (MRP, MYC) for the country — propose performance guidelines, translate targets into actionable plans and track execution throughout the year Ensure OPEX discipline and transparency, monitors external spend, adjust forecasts proactively and drive strategic resource (re)allocation to maximize enterprise value Develops innovative solutions to complex problems aligned with organizational objectives, addressing intricate issues that require in-depth analysis and judgment. How you will contribute: Drive business Planning & performance Partner with and challenge the Country Head on business performance; lead budgeting and strategic planning; set unit targets; drive resource (re)allocation; and track country KPIs with early warning of deviations. Reporting, forecasting & analysis Own timely, high-quality financial reporting (Actuals-vs-Plan with variance commentary); monitor OPEX and external spend and adjust forecasts proactively; build analysis, forecasting and scenario tools; and prepare investment/business-case analysis.

Leverage digital tools and dynamic forecast methodologies to optimize financial planning and forecasting. Lead the creation and adaptation of financial forecasting models for strategic planning. Business partnering & advisory Provide financial support across functions (Commercial, Medical, HR, Market Access); advise on HR-finance topics (headcount, workforce cost, severance, compensation); and deliver Finance-for-non-Finance training.

Create and deliver persuasive presentations in complex situations. Procurement & compliance Ensure P2P/PO compliance, guide vendor selection and local procurement, and represent finance in local statutory obligations (e.g., BankID filings, registrations, bank signatory). Improvement & strategic alignment Drive process improvement using advanced technology (e.g., AI); align country and finance strategies; and support the evolution of the Oceania finance operating model including working with the Global capability Centers for IBU Intercontinental Area.

Experience and Education: Progressive experience in Finance Business Partnering and/or FP&A in a dynamic, multinational environment, with a track record of partnering at senior leadership level Solid foundation in strategic business partnering, budgeting and management reporting, gained in environments applying IFRS University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting; a Finance qualification (ACA, CFA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA) is an advantage English fluency required; Robust computer and software skills, especially within Copilot, Excel and PowerPoint; SAP, Ariba and Business Warehouse experience are an advantage Locations Sydney, Australia Worker Type Employee Worker Sub-Type Regular Time Type Full time
