About this role

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Associate Application Analyst will partner with the team to work on business systems design, configuration, upgrades, and improvements for assigned technology platforms. As a primary support contact for application end-users, the Associate Application Analyst will work to identify issues that arise in the application area, as well as issues that impact other application teams, and work to resolve them. The Associate Application Analyst will perform impact analysis of desired changes, build and test systems changes, and identify areas of improvement associated with platform performance and opportunities to enable business processes and requirements.

Essential Duties Include, but are not limited to, the following: Partner with Application or Business Analysts to estimate and assess the impact of requested changes to assigned business system/platform. Participate in workflow design, configure and test system changes, and analyze technical issues on low complexity software components using established processes and procedures. Develop an understanding of operational needs and business processes to support the direction for the organization’s workflows; proactively identify opportunities to improve business workflow with technology improvements.

Identify issues that arise in the application area as well as issues that impact other application teams, and work to resolve them. Create and maintain system documentation. Help develop, document, and participate in trainings and work with end users.

Develop and maintain supporting technical and process documentation and administration. Troubleshoot problems and questions and provide regular updates on status. Provide end-user production support for issues entered into the issues tracking system.

Perform routine technical tasks associated to the assigned business/system platform, as needed. Participate in projects, as needed. Ability to be flexible with respect to changing end-user business needs.

Ability to work within a cross-functional team environment and operate in a low complex matrix environment. Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities to ensure that they are done in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner. Ability and willingness to recognize assignments or tasks that need to be completed, to seek out additional assignments or tasks, and to help others.

Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely with project leadership, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders. Ability to persevere in difficult situations, overcome obstacles, and reach high levels of performance when faced with stressful work situations and time pressures. Ability to learn new software applications, as needed.

Ability to travel 5% of working time away from work location. May include overnight/weekend travel. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in related field as outlined in the essential duties; or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree.

Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, email usage, and word processing. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing, supporting, or configuring technology solutions, either through coursework in higher education or in an application analyst or project delivery role. Professional working knowledge configuring business systems software in a life sciences, healthcare, or related industry.
