( *in collaboration with AbbVie ) About the Role: The Associate Director of Commercial Data Management, Pipeline will lead the strategy, governance, and operations of Neurocrine’s commercial data ecosystem in support of its pipeline therapies Osavampator and Direclidine.
In this role, the individual will ensure delivery of trusted, high-quality data across the commercial organization. As a key leader within the Commercial Data Management team, this role is responsible for defining and executing the roadmap of pre- and post-launch activities, establishing governance frameworks, and partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver a commercial data environment that meets the needs of our business. This position reports to the Senior Director of Commercial Data Management and plays a pivotal role in enabling data-driven decision-making, regulatory compliance, and scalable commercial operations. _ Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to): Lead all data management activities related to our pre-launch pipeline initiatives, supporting both Osavampator and Direclidine, within the Commercial organization Define, own, and execute Neurocrine’s commercial strategy and multi-year roadmap, aligned with enterprise goals and business priorities Establish and govern key frameworks, including data governance, data purchasing decisions, operating procedures, and standards Oversee the budget and contracting process for data management initiatives such as data licensing agreements and 3rd party consulting engagements for development and enhancements to our core data models Ensure high levels of data quality, integrity, accuracy, accessibility, and regulatory compliance across data sets Oversee the successful transition from pre-launch implementation initiatives to post-launch operational support Provide strong stakeholder leadership and partnership with Field Operations, Analytics, Marketing, and IT to ensure our data management solutions meet evolving business needs Partner closely with the Commercialization Lead in our Neuro-Psych Franchise organization to ensure our Data Management team goals and priorities align with and support the pipeline brand strategy Partner closely with IT to onboard key data sources, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and data ecosystem standards Drive continuous improvement initiatives across data collection, management, and consumption processes to support scalable, insight-driven commercial execution Lead initiatives to identify, resolve, and prevent data discrepancies, while continuously improving data quality monitoring and remediation processes Manage complex, cross-functional projects related to pipeline brand strategy, technology implementation, and operational enhancements Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline with 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech Commercial Operations, Commercial Data Management, or related fields; OR Master's degree preferred and 8+ years of similar experience noted above Expert knowledge of data management best practices with focus on Commercial data management (5+ years) Strong understanding of the commercial biopharma data ecosystem, including data flows, governance, and operational processes.
Specifically, commercial data experience in support of new product launches is highly preferred High degree of comfort working with data across a variety of tools, platforms, and programming languages, such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Databricks, SQL, and Python Familiarity with commercial data sources such as IQVIA, Symphony, Definitive Healthcare, specialty pharmacy and distributor data (e.g., 852/867); experience with digital marketing data sources is highly desirable Familiarity with claims data sources such as Komodo, MMIT/Norstella, and Veeva Compass Demonstrated ability to independently lead projects and operate effectively in a matrixed, cross-functional environment with competing priorities Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts and data-driven insights into clear business language for diverse audiences Proven experience handling patient-level data and strong familiarity with HIPAA and related regulatory requirements Successful track record managing large, cross-functional technology and data initiatives with strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with a strong attention to detail and a process-driven mindset #LI-OB1 Neurocrine Biosciences is an EEO/Disability/Vets employer. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program.
