We are building a long-term Data & AI platform capability for China. As Architect, you will own technical direction, architectural standards, and engineering quality for our local Data & AI landscape—ensuring it is scalable, secure, compliant, and interoperable with global platforms and delivery partners.
Your role
Define and continuously evolve reference architecture and design standards for data, analytics, and AI platforms
Lead architecture decisions, document trade-offs, and maintain a living decision log (ADRs)
Own engineering standards and delivery quality across internal teams and external delivery partners
Set and enforce non-functional requirements: security, privacy, reliability, observability, cost control, and operability
Guide solution design across data platforms, AI/GenAI services, integration layers, and identity/access patterns
Act as the primary technical counterpart to system integrators and cloud vendors; define technical acceptance standards and review critical designs
Ensure alignment with data governance, security, and privacy best practices, including applicable China regulatory requirements
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data and AI architecture
Mentor engineers, run architecture/design reviews, and build reusable patterns that raise overall delivery quality
Who you are
Significant experience (typically 8+ years; minimum strong senior/architect track record) in data architecture, AI platforms, analytics architecture, or a related field
Strong cloud-native and platform-thinking background; hands-on experience with China cloud providers is required
Breadth across several of: data platforms, analytics, ML/AI platforms, APIs/integration, IAM/security
Familiarity with China cybersecurity, data, and privacy regulations, including cross-border data transfer considerations
Experience governing vendors/SIs with clear technical standards, reviews, and acceptance criteria
Ability to communicate architecture clearly to both technical and business audiences
Comfortable working in a global–local matrix environment; English and Mandrain required.
