About the Role As an Associate Manager, Commercial Development, you will lead a small team of Commercial Analysts supporting large client accounts and key business initiatives. You will provide day-to-day leadership, manage team priorities and capacity, oversee proposal quality, and help ensure commercial deliverables are accurate, competitive, and completed on time. This role is ideal for an experienced commercial or proposal professional who combines strong analytical and organizational skills with a passion for developing people, improving processes, and collaborating across functions.
This is a remote role for qualified candidates in the USA (band 6). What You’ll Do Lead, coach, and develop a team of Commercial Analysts responsible for preparing proposals and supporting assigned client accounts. Manage team workload, priorities, and resources in a high-volume environment with multiple and evolving deadlines.
Provide quality review and oversight of proposals, contracts, and other commercial deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely completion. Support RFP administration and contract management activities. Build and maintain effective partnerships with internal stakeholders and external customers.
Partner across functions to resolve issues, align priorities, and support successful commercial outcomes. Monitor team performance and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen quality, and improve operational efficiency.
Lead or contribute to business-critical projects and process improvement initiatives. Apply sound business judgment, analytical thinking, and financial modeling skills to support commercial decision-making. Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and high-quality execution.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree required. Previous experience in commercial analysis, proposals, contracts, pricing, commercial operations, or business development that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years’ experience) 2+ years of people management or team leadership experience. In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex projects and competing priorities. Experience working within a matrixed organization; experience supporting or leading global teams is preferred. Strong knowledge of RFP administration, proposal development, and contract management.
Strong understanding of contractual documents, commercial processes, and business operations. Advanced proficiency with CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce, and Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy. Strong project management, organization, and prioritization skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong people skills with the ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization. Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Location: Remote US. The annual salary range estimated for this position in North Carolina is $75,000 - $115,000 USD.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
