Job Description About the role: The Digital Product, Senior Manager leads a product initiative within the Takeda portfolio, focusing on customer needs and strategic product roadmap for Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) solution across Takeda labs.
This role ensures the product aligns with business objectives and delivers value across the organization. How you will contribute: Establish and evolve a globally standardized ELN ecosystem across Takeda QC laboratories. Define and execute the ELN product strategy, roadmap, governance, and investment priorities.
Enable consistent, compliant, and scalable laboratory processes through harmonized ELN capabilities and data standards. Deliver measurable improvements in laboratory efficiency, data integrity, user experience, and operational visibility. Drive successful adoption and sustained use of ELN solutions across Takeda sites and regions.
Provide strategic technical direction for complex, multi-component, and multi-regional ELN initiatives. Ensure ELN solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, supportable, and aligned with Takeda’s digital and laboratory strategies. Strengthen collaboration among Global DD&T, QC, laboratory, and business stakeholders to align ELN capabilities with evolving business needs.
Advance the ELN portfolio to support connected, integrated, and digitally enabled laboratory operations. Build a high-performing ELN capability that delivers sustainable value through effective governance, knowledge management, and continuous improvement. Skills and qualifications: Technical and Functional Expertise Strong technical expertise in ELN, LIMS, laboratory instruments, instrument integration, and laboratory data systems.
Experience with laboratory technologies. Strong understanding of laboratory processes, workflows, data integrity, and GxP requirements. Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into scalable, compliant, and user-focused technology solutions.
Experience implementing, configuring, integrating, testing, validating, and supporting ELN solutions. Ability to manage complex technical issues, dependencies, risks, and system lifecycle activities. Strong business acumen in laboratory informatics and the ability to align technology investments with business outcomes.
Experience with Agile/Scrum, project delivery, change management, and continuous improvement practices. Leadership and Delivery Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, multi-project, and multi-regional teams. Own and maintain the ELN product strategy, roadmap, governance, priorities, and delivery plans.
Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and influencing skills. Ability to lead organizational change, build stakeholder commitment, and support users through adoption. Takes ownership and accountability for outcomes, decisions, commitments, and deliverables.
Able to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple initiatives, and deliver high-quality results under tight timelines. Self-directed, resourceful, resilient, and comfortable operating in a complex, matrixed environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to address ambiguity and make sound risk-based decisions.
Ability to develop team capabilities through coaching, knowledge sharing, and effective delegation. Commitment to operational excellence, compliance, continuous improvement, and customer-focused delivery. Understanding of financial management, including resource planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Stakeholder and Vendor Interaction Builds and maintains trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the Takeda network. Effectively collaborates with Global DD&T, QC, laboratory, business, quality, validation, security, and service-management teams. Ability to understand diverse stakeholder needs and achieve alignment across sites, regions, and functions.
Strong vendor-management skills, including governance, performance management, issue resolution, and relationship building. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Promotes collaboration, transparency, knowledge sharing, and effective decision-making across teams.
As an expert professional within the organization, you develop innovative solutions to complex problems aligned with organizational objectives. Your work involves addressing intricate issues, requiring in-depth analysis and judgment. You also engage with key contacts outside your expertise area and contribute to the development of new concepts and standards.
Operating with considerable autonomy, you serve as a consultant to management and an external spokesperson on major matters, often working independently and leading function teams or projects. We are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. For Location: Lexington, MA U.S. Base Salary Range: $137,000.00 - $215,270.00 The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position.
The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives.
